Diaconu resembles a corrupted version of Froch in style, without the high level of fitness. Pascal is talented but undisciplined and inconsistent. He tends to be careless with his chin and one of Diaconu's bombs could easily send him home early.

Diaconu maybe the most over rated fighter on this site. I mean the guy should have lost to a clubfighter in Chris Henry. His biggest win came over Hoye who couldnt even make the finals of the contender. His power is vastly overrated, he couldnt hurt Henry who was hurt in half the rounds he fought vs Mack.

When I think of a hype job Diaconu is about the first fighter that comes to mind for me. Right after haye as a heavyweight.

1- Chris Henry is not a clubfighter.

2- Hoye finished 3rd in the contender losing only once against guys 25lbs above his natural weight class.

Isint Pascal the guy who ducked Edison Miranda and lost to Froch? I'll go with Diaconu.

    Diaconu by KO here.
For someone who is perceved as a pure boxer Pascal isn't anywhere near it.He basically stands and trades the moment the other guy hits him.Altough he is fast Diaconu's bodywork will surely hurt him and his stamina ain't great either.

He looked pretty good destroying Rico Hoye couple of years back.

How much sarcasm you attribute to this statement is entirely up to you however.

Good fight for boxing for the thriving local boxing scene in Montreal. The undercard should pit some more local talent for a decent night's boxing.

It might surprise some to read this, but I don't really care who wins as long as...it's Diaconu...(no, I'm kidding)...as long as it's a good fight and both fighters perform very well on the night. I'd hate to see Diaconu not giving a good account of himself and coming up with excuses or Pascal fighting wild and saying the weight didn't suit him, etc.

Good performances are more important than who wins, for me, in this fight.:good

Nothing he's done so far proves that he is, mate. Sorry.:good

(World class means you are performing at B level. B- is borderline world class. If Froch is B level and Bika is B- level, say, are you saying Pascal is definitely at least B-?)

...the same thing was said about Froch because it was true.:good

...and if Pascal performed at world class level against Froch, then there are at least 15 or so definite world class performers in the division right now, socrates.;)

He is! He proved that against Taylor, who performed at world class level (B- to B level) imo. (B+ at certain moments, B level for most of the fight and B- level in the last half a round), IMO.

But if Froch had not managed to stop Taylor in the last half a round , Froch might only be considered a borderline world class fighter, right now, imo. :conf
