Bute and Green have started negotiations

Oh I remember that fight (was on FNF if memory serves me correctly) chief. It seems like we might've been the only ones who watched that one, which is why we're not giving him more than a snowball's chance in hell of beating a good southpaw. I think Emmett was driving trucks about the time that fight took place, too.

But hey...I try to be fair, and I do give Green props for calling out a guy who's kryptonite for him style wise.

 

Bute - Green is a good match for the fans style wise as long as both men come prepared and motivated. I hope it gets made.

I'll give you this much man, you've been calling it that way for as long as the fight's been mentioned. Should Green prove you right and me wrong, I'll be the first to give you and Allan props on it. :thumbsup

 

That's why I was surprised to hear this. But using Andrade as a primary support bout makes sense - though it's a bit of a risk should one of them lose.

Another poster mentioned Andrade's injury, which I had forgotten about and is a definite factor. The show must go on - good on Bute to keep active, though it does sound like unification fights are well in the future.

 

Its not that I think that highly of Green. I think more of him then alot of people. I just think that its a great matchup of Green.

The problem with most here when it comes to Green is that they want to hold the lost to Miranda against him. During that time Green was ill, and im not talking about the flu. Green had 70% of his colon removed after the fight with Miranda. That was real, and Green could have died, his damaged colon didnt allow his body to absorb water.

That problem is fixed, and Green has looked like a beast since then.

 

Andrade gets his shot as soon as he demands it.

 

Green has looked good since the Miranda fight but to be fair. It was against VERY limited opposition. Bute will be his first real test since the Miranda fight. We'll find out if that lose was a fluke or not.

It's someone like Green or nothing. Froch will take a while to recover from his last fight. Andrade says he's still injured and wants another fight before Bute. Bute has to be active to be at his best. All in all, Green is a pretty good optional defense, the second in a row before the mandatory. That means Lucian fights at least three times a year.

 

Bute all day.

 

Damn I was hoping for Bute-Froch, oh well Kessler, Dawson, and a Taylor-rematch are now options for Froch.

I woudln't mind seeing this fight. I guess Green calling out Bute after his fight worked.
