Exactly my friend......Mayweather is'nt accustomed to have someone consistently land clean on him......the chance of a real sharpshooter like Marquez doing it here is pretty high I believe.

......the Mayweather fanboys are turning a blind eye to the fact that Marquez is the fighter who is offensively better rounded......he hits equally well with both hands.....and he finds the gaps in a fighters defense with his variation of shot selection......straight, hooks, uppercuts.....and even in angles between hooks and uppercuts.....
.....if there is a fighter that can find the gaps in Mayweather's tight defense, its JMM!

As a JMM fan, forget a third fight with Manny Pacquiao.....I'd much prefer JMM put through a real test against someone of Mayweather's pedigree.

Why there are so many forum members here who would rather not see this matchup happen is beyond me.....my goodness.....the two best skilled fighters in boxing going head to head.

.....when was the last time two fighters matched up that were as skilled and well rounded as these two???

This is about where I am with this fight also. Sure there are much more dangerous fights for Floyd, but how can you honestly accuse someone of "cherrypicking" the current P4P #2? The pounds are important, but they will not be what dictates the outcome of this fight.

It's more cherrypicking from Mayweather. Marquez is a lightweight and he's in his late 30's. ****in' Mayweather, back to his old tricks.

I dont know if I'd go as far as saying cherrypicking, but that argument against Mayweather does hold water........the facts are that Mayweather has avoided the better welterweights the last few years......and in fighting Marquez, he's fighting a great fighter, but he's not fighting the best Welterweight.

I honestly don't think Floyd would have any troble making 140. He is a naturally small dude that stays in shape and never weighs more than 150 to 155.

Like Jones And Calzage he will look back and regret Cherrypicking when he looks back and his legasy is not what it could of been. They all are\were great boxers boxers that lack the resume of of the other greats. I rate Oscar higher than the latter two because of this, sure he had his losses but has greater wins also.

Marquez would be the most complete fighter Mayweather has ever faced. It's just the size difference that's the problem. I think Marquez will cause him problems but can't see him winning. There is no point Floyd coming back and fighting Marquez and Pacquiao and then retiring. If he wants to be thought of as one of the best of all time. He needs to fight Mosley, Cotto and Williams.

    Why???

Look Ive been around, and I have seen this happen time and time again. When floyd called out Oscar did he demand that Oscar come down to 147??? Nope he went up there. JMM knew what weight floyd had been fighting at when he called him out, so wouldnt one think that he would be willing to go to that weight and fight???

Not to mention would fighting at 140 make a difference??? Its not as iff Floyd couldnt make the weight, he would still be the bigger stronger more skilled fighter.

on paper its good fight, jmm is pound for pound number 2.when has a fighter retired as long as floyd has and then comes back to fight the p4p 2 fighter in the world ?

remember its floyds tune up fight, keyword tune up.its not suppost to be a super fight.um anyways i think mayweather is to use to fighting bigger stronger guys then jmm so pbf should walk him down.jmm comes to fight and pbf can fight, i think it would be good fight for as long as it last.i see a tko for pbf late.

Mayweather supporters just dont seem to make any sense......if Mayweather can in you estimation make 140 lbs, then why in hell are they still debating the weight issue difference????

JMM wants the fight to as near as 140 lbs as possible, if Mayweather can easily make that, the only reason for Mayweather to want the fight at 147 lbs would seem to be that he wants JMM at a disadvantage.

I'm like you, I believe Mayweather can comfortably make 140 lbs, so if thats the case, he certainly would'nt be at a disadvantage fighting there against JMM.

.......but JMM certainly would be at a disadvantage fighting Mayweather at 147 lbs.

My question to you is, why do you think Mayweather wants the fight at 147 lbs, if he can make 140 lbs and get deservedly more credit beating JMM there than fighting him at 147 lbs?

Explain yourself by making some sense for once Hudson?

    A tuneup for what?

Who the hell would Mayweather be fighting next after JMM?
......Pacquiao who more people than not thought JMM beat?

I see, JMM is a tuneup for Mayweather to fight a fighter JMM already has schooled!:lol::lol:
