Froch can only learn from this and improve making a rematch with Taylor more winnable for him but what can Taylor do?

Assuming he trained as he should for the fight there's not a great deal Taylor can do about his lack of stamina. Yes, pace yourself, but he might end up losing more rounds that way and Froch wont be taking it so easy in the first few rounds next time.

Froch beat him with literally the last punches he had left in his lungs.... He's not got the heart he had, or the desire... but he's still very talented and i'd pick him against most. He'd give Kessler a very tough fight.

I'm surprised how little talk there is of a rematch.

Taylor was 14 seconds - 14 SECONDS - from winning the fight.

He needs to swallow his pride, get his arse over to Nottingham and try to redeem himself.

I for one would like to see a rematch.

It could be his only option.

He must be sick at the moment.

Froch learnt almost nothing from the Pascal fight - I though McCracken was about to cry with how stupid Froch was being.

I had froch one round behind going into the last.... two KD's 10-7..... Froch wins by two rounds... Just because the local judges were incompetant doesn't mean he deserves a rematch... Personally I think Froch should be looking elsewhere.

I had Froch three behind going into the last.....

If he wants to give Taylor a return then I would have no objections, but should champions really be giving challengers rematches, bearing in mind the following:

    1. He won fair and square
    2. He (as champion) travelled - not the norm
    3. Potentially better fights down the line

I scored the fight exactly the same. They were scoring taylor rounds off the back of eyecatchin 6 punch bursts at the end of rounds froch had controlled.
Taylor is very very talented and i dont believe this stamina bollocks...its a mental problem. Example. Your out on a grueler 6 mile run you done the week before and you hit the bottom of steep mile long incline that ****ed you right up the week prior. Youve been ****in dreading this hill its gunna **** you up again, you dont make the top. But if you say to yourself this is a piece o **** i'm gunna **** this hill, you'll **** it and feel great.
    Mental strength wins.

I think the circumstances would merit a rematch, but its not a neccessity. If you get knocked out you can't demand and expect a rematch IMO, its upto your opponent to grant it. It wasn't exactly a fluke KO, the momentum was with Froch for a long time.

Froch would have it his own way in the rematch. He now knows Taylor has nothing for him after 6 rounds. He'd put on a lot of pressure and get to him quicker with the support of his own fans behind him. I'm sure he's looking elsewhere, they seem keen on Bute. Thing is, Bute really should be giving a rematch to Andrade.

I had a tie going into the last round. Taylor was trying to steal rounds after the 6th.

Taylor will need at least 3 tunes ups before he goes in with Froch, Kessler, Bute or anyone else. Can you really see him fighting 8 rounders on Andre Berto undercards???

Taylor was at LEAST 3 rounds ahead going into the last. im a froch fan. Im from Nottingham. I wanted him to win (i Didnt expect him too) . But to say he was any closer then three rounds behind going into the last is crazy.

Personally i had Taylor 4 rounds up going into the last.

    He definitly deserves a rematch

    agreed :good
i dont think stamina had much to do with it to be honest, he just got caught by a good shot and was genuinely hurt and finished off before he could recover. he may be guilty of being a little complacent towards the end, as he must have known he was ahead on the cards, and probably figured he just had to coast through the last round and the title was his. and he got caught by a man desperate to keep the belt. and he lost. but so what, its boxing. win some, lose some but he definately aint finished yet.

But Taylor is the type of guy who only wants big fights. But he has lost 3 of his last 4 fights. Is there anyway lou di Bella can still get him the big fights?
