No. Froch was the British Champion and world ranked. "Eurobum" is just a meaningless term used by uneducated American "fans" of the sport.
yeah pretty much. when he first started shouting his mouth off about joe ducking him he'd fought nobody. even now the biggest names on his record are pascal and taylor. he wants to think about this, shut up about joe and just get on with fighting the best out there, which he does seem to want to do. his style worries me tho, he needs to tighten his defence up a bit, and stop ****ing about trying to prove how hard he is. i thought he looked **** against taylor til the finish, and i feel that one of the big names who's been mentioned as future oponents, kessler, hopkins, dawson etc will end up knocking him out.
It certainly wouldn't be a very impressive win, since Froch was unproven then. Equally, if Sonny Liston had beaten Ali in 1961, it would be just a win over an unproven novice who'd only had success in the amateurs. That is the first and last time I will compare Froch to Ali.
yeah .. jermain taylor is his best win by miles and miles...then pascal is his best win by miles and miles as wel
i agree with what your saying, but he still had no right to call joe out. he'd thought nobody, whereas joe had thought pretty much the best the division had to offer at this stage. even now, if he had just started calling joe out for the first time i think its still too early, and he's got no right to be in the ring with joe. as for joe moving up to light heavy to avoid him and then retiring rather than face him is pure bollocks. froch is about 3 years too late thats all, similar to joe just missing out on the benn, collins, watson era. (obviously he fought eubank, showing how close he missed out) forget joe carl, it aint gonna happen.
Yup. There were fans on here last year saying that Joe will duck RJJ to take the easy option against Froch.
120-107 x3 to Joe C. i can see froch going down late after being ***** slapped for 12 rounds but his huge heart would see him to the end.
calzaghe on points.. not as clear cut victory as people are making out though, and maybe calzaghe would have to come off the deck again to do so. the lacy comparison is wrong.
Stylewise Froch is made for Calzaghe. Providing Calzaghe hasn't seriously declined due to age and inactivity he would embarass Froch over 12 painful rounds. Froch got totally outoxed against Taylor who only lost because of his stamina issues. Calzaghe isn't coming out of retirement to give big mouth a big pay day though.
jc would have 1 point deducted for excessive showboating and disrespecting his opponant on his way to a 119-108 victory on all 3 cards
The problem is there are absolutely loads of those, with an inherent contempt and dismissal of European fighters. Ive said this a few times now and nobody has ever argued; If American fight fans and media were solely to decide which fighters were worthy of and to receive World title shots.....Europeans would never get World title shots. They wouldnt.
I think Calzaghe may be tempted back with this ... easy fight for him IMO and he knows it. Why doesn't Froch!
