    never...no way.

i think hatton wins this...got my money on him..but in no way should he be considered the pound for pound champ if he beats him.

it's similar to joey maxim beating sugar ray robinson....robinson was pound for pound champ, but maxim was never regarded as that after beating him.

The majority of the people know this. only the Hatton nuthuggers will think he's the p4p 1.

We ALL know this. This is probably the sole point that all of ESB is united on.

    True.

Considering how some really absurd claims are made on ESB every day it begs the question: How can Ricky keep saying this bull****?

A win will gurantee Hatton's lock on 140lbs.
And will defo crack him into the top 10, IMO.
(But not in the top 5)

If pac loses, i think paul williams should be number 1 p4p.

He will easily be at least number 3.
Then when he beats jmm he will be number 1.

i love ricky hatton but yeah, it's getting annoying. does anyone think it's just to get the casual hbo 24/7 fans to buy the fight? if the fact that the 140 lb belt is for stake doesn't get them how about a fight that determines THE GREATEST FIGHTER ON THE PLANET? that's what he's selling but that can only be won by jmm when he fights pac and no one else (barring a mayweather return)

JMM is probably number 1 at the moment. In the eyes of many, he beat Pac last year, and his subsequent KO wins over Casamayor and Baby Bull should have earned more "P4P points" than Manny's wins over Diaz and weight-drained Oscar.

If Pac beats Hatton, he's number 1 until we see what JMM does next. If Hatton beats Pac, however, Ricky's no way number 1, probably about 7-9.
