Pac is supposedly susceptible to being hurt to the body. Hatton is supposedly a great body puncher. My question is...... How good do you think Hatton's body punching has been against his better opponents? His body punching was supposed to be key against Mayweather and I don't think he threw one, let alone landed one. I think he has a tendency to smother his own work, which doesn't actually allow for good body punching. Second question.... Will his body punching be a vital factor in this fight ie do you think he'll land plenty of body shots?
Hatton and his fanboys are banking on his supposed strength. He ran from Tackie and ran from Urango, also blown up lightweight Lazcano hurt Hatton and stayed up for 12 rounds, Hatton is ****ed if Pacman is not as fragile as he would like to believe.
He's a one handed fighter at the end of the day. I'm sure someone of the ilk of Pacquiao would just circle away from it or plan for it in some shape or form. Pacquiao can use both hands effectively and throws straighter and sharper. I think in the end that will make the difference.
I think they're both one handed to an extent. Both trainers seem to be working on the right hand though. In the latest 24/7, Hatton made it clear that Pacquiao was repeating the same patterns and spinning to one side after throwing, so I think Hatton knows what's needed to ensure he lands.
To land body punches with those short stubbyy arms you have to be within a foot of him. The key thing for Hatton will be to either have the quick feet to catch Pacquiao as he comes in, and before he goes back. Pacquiao's key movements are forwards and back, rarely laterally. That is going to require quick hands, quick feet and good timing from Hatton to land that body punch against a faster man before he darts out. Otherwise he's going to have to maraud forward, try and tie Pacquiao up and work angles. Hope the ref does not get on his case. My guess is that if the ref does not allow Hatton much slack he'll be ****ed.
its easy to nitpick records when you have an agenda and Hatton won all 3 of the fights you have chosen.
What if Pacquiao KO's Hatton with a bodyshot? What are people gonna say then? That would be my ideal scenario.
I can't see Hatton catching Pacquiao on the way in or out. Pacquiao's camp are trying to say Pacquaio will be as strong, if not stronger than Hatton.....I don't think there's any chance of that. Just like Hatton's camp are claiming Hatton will be as quick as Pac.....I don't think there's any chance of that. Hatton's chances will depend on him pinning Pac down, but I think to get on the ref's side, he needs to jab and then get in rather than charging at Pac and bearhugging him.
Hatton is the one going to get hurt with body shots in this contest. We know he does not like it to the body and Pacman's punch variety, speed, combination punching power will be to much for Hatton.
Hatton ran from Tackie Come on man youre stretching the truth a bit here. He boxed his head off. Oh and i ask you this what about Pac running from Hussein???
I think he didn't throw a body shot at Mayweather because Mayweather got in to Hatton's head, and all Hatton wanted to do was knock his head off.
Exactly as I see it. Good post. But I have Hatton winning this fight. I may be wrong, I usually am, but I think Hatton will wear Manny down.
Very unlikely, but at least he would have had more variety to his punches instead of throwing hooks at Mayweathers head like an idiot.
