Mayweather's saying he wants a former Featherweight to move up to 147 (not surprising that he wants to fight a smaller man), why not just fight a ligit Welterweight?

Very difficult comeback fight. That said, Floyd walks him down and stops him.

Its the weight that he is fighting at...Why should he come down to 140 to fight a guy that called him out??? Its just blind hatered to say that Floyd is always the one that has to adjust his weight. In every fight the same ****ing people here is bitching and crying about the wieght that the fight is being fought at.

Having JMM fight 4 weight classes above his natural one is ****ed up. End of.

You're right to say that PBF shouldn't have to adjust though, but most people are saying that going to 140 isn't unnatural for him. Basically, this fight shouldn't happen at any weight.

Just as I predicted, you're not making any sense what so ever........

......for one, Marquez said that since Pacquiao did'nt want a third fight with him, he wanted to fight the real p4p best and that was Mayweather.....
Marquez actually payed Mayweather a compliment by admitting that Mayweather to him was still the best fighter in the business......
Marquez was'nt making any demands that Mayweather should fight him......but if the fight can be made, Marquez has been more than willing to make it happen at a weight he feels he can beat Mayweather.
Marquez has publicly stated he'd be at too much of a disadvantage taking the fight at 147 lbs.

"Floyd is always the one that has to adjust!":|:|:|

.....move away from Mayweather's nutsack for a moment so that you can come to realize that JMM would be moving up more pounds that Mayweather would be coming down too........
.....in this matchup, JMM would be making more physical adjustments than Mayweather.

Really what a complete fool to be of the opinion, "yeah, Mayweather can make 140 lbs but he should'nt do it just because he's Mayweather Jr...."

Bottom line, if this matchup does'nt materialize, its likely that Mayweather would prefer to wait for the easier matchup in the winner of Pacquiao-Hatton.
Mayweather likely feels more confident in being able to thoroughly outbox Paquiao, than to try his luck against a peer with like skills!

Either way, whoever Mayweather choses as his next big fight, he's likely going to have to concede and come down to a catchweight against either JMM, Hatton, or Paquiao......

.....all three of those camps have indicated they'd like to fight Mayweather south of the welterweight limit.

Seems like the fight is close to being done.....JMM has already signed off on it and agreed to the terms of the weight......apparently it will be below 145 lbs.....

    ....probably 144 lbs.

All that is needed is for Mayweather to work up the balls to sign off on it as well.

On Marquez' part, he's done all that been asked of him, he wants to fight the best, he wants to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Will Mayweather sign, or chicken out???:D

I don't see the relation between Floyd wanting to risk a defeat and this being a good fight.
