JML praised Penalosa on an interview with El Nuevo Dia and stated that he definetely felt Penalosa's right hook. He also stated that he couldn't demonstrate his boxing abilities because he didn't have the chance and that he is confident that he can beat both Vasquez and Marquez in the same fashion as he did with Penalosa. Lastly he expressed that in the 8th round he switched from the boxer to the human being and he was worried because nobody was stopping the fight.

Yep, I saw Juanma motion to the referee to stop it. He didn't want to hurt him.

Slipping that Puerto Rican flag in Penalosa's glove to get even more cheers from the crowd with was class, too. He really did seem to have Gerry's future in mind.

Penalosa fought like a warrrior and would have survive the fight if roach didnt stopped it. Penalosa showed he is one tough dude by not going down after getting hit by so many punches by lopez.

I did see weakness in lopez game. His defense is not that good and he got hit with some good shots by penalosa. Penalosa just didnt have enough power to hurt him bad enough. I think vazquez has a real good chance of beating lopez and vice versa.
