i find it ridiclious how you think you're entitled to an opinion on this? Oscar De La Hoya was hit by Manny, many many times. How many times have you been hit by Pacquiao?

The General Forum hate the fact that Oscar has both fame and an opinion. He can express both.

It seems in boxing, that whenever a fighter loses to another fighter, they almost always pick their opponent to win next fight. I think it's some sort of subconscious denial of the whooping they took.

1.)We we all have different opinions about the Oscar -Pacquiao fight. I don't think it's overrated. Oscar maybe weight drained, but he still had more advantages than Pacquiao. ie.) His height and longer reach. Oscar's strategy was "probably" decrease his weight to match Pacquiao's speed. Oscar did not sure his height and longer reach well. He bent down his big head which made it easier for Pacquiao to stick his left hand to his head. He only throw few punches during their fight because he was got intimidated by Pacquiao's speed. Pacquiao took advantage of this mistake and pressured Dela Hoya. Oscar also failed to use his right hand properly.

2.)Pacquiao only had a hard time during their 2nd fight. I believe that Pacquiao won the first match (7 rounds to 5 rounds - Pacquiao w/ KDs). Although I do agree that Pacquiao failed to stop Marquez during the 1st and 2nd fight but a win with one point is still a win. The last lost that Pacquiao suffered was 4 years ago against Morales via close UD.

3.) The fighters that Hatton fought (ones you mentioned) Urango gave him a hard time. Malignaggi is a powerless boxer. He can't punch. Those two boxers combined are still not comparable to Pacquiao. Although, Hatton's win over Malignaggi is still impressive.

4.) Many experts and fans think that Manny's body is weak because he was ko'd before when he was still in the LOWER WEIGHT CLASS. The man doesn't eat much since he doesn't have much. Roughing Pacquiao up is most probably not going to work because Pacquiao is used to that. Watch his fight against Agapito Sanchez and you'll know what I'm talking about.

5.) Hatton is a strong boxer. He has power in both hands but so does Manny. Manny's puncher power is underrated. Many believe that the only reason that Manny is winning is because he has his speed but, Manny won't be able to produce any kind of damage if he doesn't have the power to back it up.

Anyway, all I know is that this match will end in a KO. I favoring Pacquiao because I believe that Pacquiao is more technical than Hatton. IF Hatton can land a punch on Pacquiao; Pacquiao will land triple of what Hatton will land on him. Pacquiao's speed will break Hatton's spirit and Pacquiao will pressure him and KO/TKo him the later round.

    lol Agree.

Back to the topic. He's only saying that because he is Hatton's promoter.

Didn't Hopkins pick Pac? I know he isn't THE promoter but he's a major player with Golden Boy.

Not only that you could tell Manny took it easy on Oscar for the last couple of rounds. Like Manny didn't want to really hurt Oscar. Even Roach had to tell him...."this is your job, take him out". I think many people including PAC felt bad for Oscar....I know I did.
