i think he doesn't have the heart that he used to have against winky wright and bernard hopkins. after saturdays fight and the pavlik fights i would say either he lost his hunger or he has no heart.thoughts?

    He has heart.

He doesn't have the stamina. Maybe he's taking it too easy in training camp, but who knows how hard he really is training? Maybe he's training hard and doing his roadwork, but still has stamina issues regardless.

He's probably not naturally blessed with good stamina, nor does he have the ability to relax in the ring. He's jittery, tense, and that most likely contributes to his stamina issues.

Not exactly the best finisher or smartest fighter in there, also.

As my guy Boo put it so eloquently, heart's never been the issue. Unnecessary energy expenditure early in fights and an uncommon uncomfortableness with being ahead in fights are the main culprits for JT not accomplishing even more than he has.

Taylor likes to think of himself as being a puncher. When he hits an opponent hard and they don't go down he gets discouraged.

No you should for failing to realise the guy is not what he used to be. Probably why you got that gay picture as your avatar.

For some fighters its all mental. He was doing well against Pavlik the first fight and i'll admit most refs in england would have stopped that one. But having said that he couldn't finish him off and paid the price. Since that beating hes mentally a different fighter, and that i'm afraid will never change. Its got nothing to with his resume u TWAT!

I think the fact that he has effective, sneaky power, but was never able to finish his opponent is just as big a factor. Think about what Taylor would be if he had finishing skills...

How can you pose the question that JT has no heart? Im not even a Taylor fanboy but he has maybe too much heart for his own good. When did getting knocked out equate to a lack of heart. As a Wladimir fan I hate when they say that about him as he always fights back and never stops even if he gets KO'd. In the Brewster fight he was in no condition to continue but when asked if he wanted to continue he shook his head yes. Please dont bring up Vitali's torn rotator incident from 10 years ago its getting old so let it go.

Very funny that all these guys hyping Taylor before the fight are now sporting 'Jermain Who?' avatars.

BooRadley, you claim Taylor as Pavlik's best win. Doesn't look so good now, does it?

I actually think it still means a lot, but a lot of guys on here have turned on Taylor based on one round :rofl

You mean the guy who went out and ouboxed the #1 guy in the 168 division? That Taylor? Still looks like a good victory to me.

What does this mean???????? What no.1 guy?

Also, read my next sentence, you will see I clearly agree with you. Just think it's strange that all those praising Pavlik are now dissing Taylor.

I've said for a while that the winner of this fight is the #1 guy at 168, and I stand behind it. Froch, in beating Pascal and now Taylor, has much more of a claim to being top dog at 168 than either Bute or Kessler.

I'm a huge Pavlik fan and have been for a long time. I never, EVER shat on Taylor. I think fundamentally we're in agreement. Taylor is a big scalp, even at 168 and if anyone is shitting on him it's out of ignorance. Knowing boo as a poster, I doubt that is the case.
