What's the huge difference post-Pavlik I? He fought differently in the rematch, because he had to. He had to keep in the center of the ring and away from the ropes, where Pavlik is a killer. Taylor was more cautious, because he was getting hit over and over again in the first fight with jabs and straight rights until it was too much. His footwork was much better the 2nd time around and he stayed off the ropes. He fought better, but it still wasn't enough, and lost a close, competitive bout. Again, his stamina played a role as Pavlik had the much stronger finish. Against Lacy, he beat him up but couldn't finish him off, is that really much different than some of his fights before Pavlik (Joppy)?? He held quite a bit, perhaps due to concerns about his stamina. Against Froch, he started well, but again couldn't finish, and fatigued. Taylor's stamina issues didn't start with the Pavlik fight. He's had issues with fatigue before.
