Not really. Not particularly competitive imo. Like to see Froch against Andrade or Bute.

Calzaghe would do a Lacy on Froch

I always thought Calzaghe should shut Froch up as a final fight but that was hilarious from Joe

But why does he have to insult Froch?
He should be the bigger man, otherwise he brings himself down.

No, what I really, really want is for Calzaghe to transfer £10 m in Carl Froch's account and to work for free as his promoter, singing his praises at all times as the p4p No.1 and future ATG. That would make me so happy...:happy:happy

Yep. I see your point. JC should stay retired and be happy with his awful WBO reign and wins over old timers. Unfortunetly he can not turn back time to see if he could have beaten prime RJJ or B-Hop.

I do not rate the current smw division too much. Calzaghe was a very good fighter. He lacked heart but he was a good fighter at what he does.

Kessler lost to the only opponent that was any good.

Bute holds wins over ****...Bika and Andrade are famous for losing and Berrio is toss.

The rest of the division is pretty much ordinary.

Middle looks pretty empty too and light heavy not to much better. The entire scene in that area is far from world class at the moment.

Maybe Froch should just come back to Britain and fight average opponents on ITV4 for a few years.

  7. He didn't mind giving Peter Manfredo Jr one :D

he did in the build up to froch-taylor, giving carl props for going overseas to defend his belt.

carl straight after the taylor fight....

    "so, unification with kessler carl?"

    "uhhhhhhhhhhhhh joe calzaghe.......ducking me, etc."

Not particularly. I've never given a toss about Calzaghe, never seen him as particularly relevant, Lacy and Kessler fights aside.

I just saw this on the BBC message board:

"Carl seems to have OCCD - Obsessive Compulsive Calzaghe Disorder"

Harsh? You should hear what Enzo says about him in todays Guardian!:D

"He needs Joe because he is such a poor fighter that he can't make it on his own-appalling-the worst performance by a world champion,he looked like an amatuer. -Taylor didn't have to block because Froch was jabbing his hand.It was pathetic."

Love to see it. I think Calzaghe probably schools him but Froch deserves the opportunity and it'd be great for boxing.

lol... fair play to Froch for going to the States to take on Taylor... deserves much respect for that. But let's get real here, he hasn't really fought anyone of note apart from that at this stage.

Don't forget that Joe was managed and promoted by Frank Warren.

If Froch beats Kessler convincingly Calzaghe will come out of retirement.

    Not before.
