Woah you go there Jeff! We're all entitled to our opinions and mine is that Froch is technically very inferior to Calzaghe. It does annoy me when he comes out with all this **** because I honestly think that deep down not even he believes he could beat Calzaghe. Of course he would always have a punchers chance but that would be his only hope.

I would rather that Froch focused his energy more on improving his shortcomings because he doesn't seem to have done this since the Pascal fight. If he continues to fight in the style that he has become accustomed to it is inevitable that sooner or later he will suffer a bad knock out defeat. We all saw how badly hurt he was by Taylor who is not exactly the biggest puncher he's gonna face.

On the plus side he's an exciting fighter and if he can correct his failings he will surely become a superstar at home and abroad.

Beeston, sorry if I came across as a ***** in the last thread, I certainly didn't mean to. When I looked at my post it all seemed across rather agressively, apologies mate. Peace out mofos!

Haha, cmon mate I'm no nuthugger, that's not my style. I've just followed Calzaghe's career from his pro debut and recognised an outstanding talent that he all too often doesn't get credit for. I critise him when it's called for, for example his comments in his book. Made him look like a hypocritical ***** and I've told him so.

Haha, I didn't think you would be cut to the core but I could see myself getting a rather undesirable status as an interner hero.

Taylor's counterpunching would make a fool out of Joe as well. Taylor would lose though, quite obviously.

Easy on the "mistakes" talk, pappy. Your boy is just as guilty.

  9. When was the last time Joe stopped a world class opponent ?

Calzaghe isnt the most powerfull puncher in the game which is true but come on hes 37! and yeah i know it was a few years ago but look what he did to Lacy and more recently Jones. Weve all seen Froch's 'amazing defense' and his 'granite chin' and yeah ill admit he can pack a punch but kesslers a bigger puncher and Joe put on a masterclass against him.

Im not saying Joe could KO froch but he would hurt him, cut him and most probably TKO him cos lets face it, you see someone with their hands down and their faced messed up like lacy or jones was then the ref whether hes american/british or even ****ing martian will step in and stop it.

Oddly enough I looked at this comparison myself just last night.

I also looked at how they compared at the same age. Which is every bit as interesting.

I agree with every word accept for the "Jones" part, even Taylor could stop Roy in 6, much less Froch....but yeah, Carls technique was horrible, but then again no1 ever thought he was a Guzman did they?
