Mayweather Marquez....people are itching to see Mayweather fight again. And they'll get their money's worth since it will go 12 rounds.

Pac-Hatton...be lucky to go past 8.

Hatton/Pacquiao seems pretty massive. I was talking to a stranger about it yesterday, and some other random fella came up behind us singing that damn Hatton song. Normally when I bounce fight talk off of people they look at me like I'm talking gibberish. Everyone knows about this fight, they may all not watch it, but they all know about it seemingly. 24/7 is doing some heavy lifting.

Man the people you meet on the street are weird as all hell

Anyways Manny and Hatton will be huge (and I'm sure it'll outdraw JMM/PBF)...but never understimate the ability of the all American comeback. Floyd has it and will use it to his advantage.

The best thing about this is boxing might have two fights that draw well...instead of one fight with a massive number and a bunch of other ppvs in the 150-300 range.

I'll bet that in terms of $$$ and regardless of how many PPV are sold in whatever country that the U.S charges the most and though the U.S WONT have as many buys it will be just as high in $$ or in the same ballpark as the other countries!:bbb

And the guy did it in an annoying way. He kept singing 'Hatton Wonderland' after we had already turned and acknowledged him. I wanted to smack that dude almost instantly. :rofl Agreed, though. I think Mayweather/Marquez will be bigger than some people are probably thinking at this point.

Should've asked him to spell Hatton.

    "H-a-t-t-i-n-e"

Mayweather/Marquez isint going to be as big as pac-hatton. Marquez isn't as popular as Hatton or Pac. It is a one sided equation.

Considering only one of those fighters is American, I'd have to go with that fight; Mayweather v Marquez. It's possible Hatton v Pacquaio could do more, but a US fighter on a US PPV should do better. Americans are patriotic (rightfully so; just like the British) and I'd expect them to show support for their fighter.

Tickets for venue is different from PPV. PPV requires hundreds of thousands of people giving up their money, venue tickets just require 20k at most and there are enough hardcore fans to fill that up. Hatton could fill any venue in US regardless who he is fighting, he wont always gain the PPV market...requires a much larger number.

Yes Pac-Diaz did 225k, a fight nobody cared for. Thats the same as JMM-MAB and JMM-Casa did UNDER 100k...Pac Solis did 250k. Pac-MAB 2 did 350k. This was before pac was crowned p4p #1 and got all the attention, before he fought ODLH. You can say ODLH carried that fight but fact is, Pac who is not from US fought Oscar and drew 1.25mil, Steve Forbes who is from the US and from The Contender wasnt even PPV against Oscar. People buy fights, not just fighters.

Look at Floyd's numbers before Oscar, look at it after Oscar. Pac is now mainstream and is the current face of boxing. JMM is still relatively unknown to the public. People also see this as a good fight, both Floyd & JMM are not known for their exciting styles and the marketing behind this will not be anywhere as big.

I think Pac Hatton does more in the US...just more coverage and a more recognised super fight in a post De la Hoya Pac world

Pac-Hatton since this fight is actually a better match up. It's a 50-50 chance really on who will win. Both have their own advantage against each other. Pacman has the speed advantage and hatton has the size/power advantage.

Marquez-Floyd= floyd has just about every advantage. Size-Power-Speed-Age etc. Both are very skilled fighters but floyd has all the advantage.

So i think pac-hatton will sell more cuz it's a better head to head match up than a floyd-marquez fight. This is really a mismatch, a welterweight fighting a blown up lightweight.

    I don't think so.

Basically based on fans reactions on different boxing forums . . . fans see the Pac/Hatton fight as the more even, more competitive fight so that might spell the difference.

. . . and with the all out ADS the promoters and Networks does for the Pac/Hatton fight . . . MY GUESS is that it's gonna sell more (in US).
