What I want is for them to fight at a weight that is comfortable for both of them. JMM's last fight is at 135lbs. He didn't even fight at 140lbs yet and now he is fighting Floyd at a cathweight higher than 140. Floyd is comfortable fighting at a weight higher than 140 but not JMM.

I think the more valid reason is that Floyd cannot make 140lbs anymore and hence they have to fight at a catch weight just a little below 147lbs. Floyd is a legit welter in weight and you have to accept it.

It's no different in what Oscar did to Pac. Pac had never fought higher than 135 and only had 1 fight at 135 before jumping up to 147 to fight Oscar so why the double standard? What people like you fail to realize is that when you get in the position like a PBF or Oscar De La Hoya you get to dictate terms.

I know that. But you seem to think JMM & PBF are the same size and possibly JMM even bigger. So by your logic, PBF should be able to make 135 easy. If he's too big for 135 or even 140, he's bigger than JMM because as it is, JMM body can take him to 135.

Oscar dropped down to 147 from 154, PBF wont even drop to 140. On top of that Oscar was too big to drop anymore, according to you, PBF can make 140 tommorow.

The size difference between Oscar and Pac is greater than the size difference between PBF and JMM.:deal PBF not having the fight at 147 is good enough IMO. Although I wouldn't mind seeing him fight at 140 so JMM fans wouldn't have any excuses.

Exactly, surely if PBF is as small as you say then he will fight JMM at 140 as to prove his superiority as a fighter and give JMM fans no excuses. The fight would also sell more as it would be seen as less of a mismatch. SO from a financial and legacy point of view, it would make sense for the fight to be at 140...yet Floyd opt for 145, why? I can only think of 2 reasons, 1) He has trouble making 140 therefore proving you wrong, he is the bigger man and he is not a LWW fighter anymore. 2) He can make 140 but chooses not to because he wants every advantage he can get and he will have greater advantage at 145 than he does at 140...given that he's already the bigger man and supposudley the better fighter, isnt that a ***** move?

Juan wants to fight Floyd for the money.
    Nothing more.
He knows this is a fight he can't win.
It's by far better than fighting in the hinterlands
of Indonesia for pittance and risk contracting malaria.
He's just to small for the bigger and speedier Floyd.
