Im currently 74 kg which is just over the middleweight limit which is 10 st 12. used to make 10 st 12 easy but recently ive put on a little extra weight out of the blue and weighed 11 st 8! so i trained monday in a shirt, hoody and hat and got down to where i am now. im about 5'7, 16-17 years old and the only fat on me is a little bit on my belly and thighs.

Im thinking when i do fight should I keep myself disciplined at welter or stay where i am at middle?

If you used to make it comfortably then you probably haven't outgrown the weight and the weight you put on is probably only excess. Spend some time getting it and try to maintain around the 10st 12 limit. At 5'7 at welter your not going to be too much at a disadvantage I don't think, at middleweight you will be probably be pretty small.

You should learn to fight before concerning yourself with weight. Get in good fighting shape while doing so, and see where you end up.

You don't need to be concerned with your weight unless you're entering a competition that requires weight classes.
Train as you normally would and eat a healthy balanced diet and you'll end up where your body should be.

5ft-7ins is dwarfish at middle and not very tall at welter either.
i'm 5ft-11 and fought a few lads my height at 140-148lbs.they all had skinny legs like me too.

is the welter limit not still 148lbs ???

The welter limit for 17-19 years is 69 kg whilst the middle weight limit is 75 kg. besides i know i might be a little short but im stalky too so i kinda make up a little bit.

i don't understand the 17-19 bit either.its 30 years since i boxed and may as well be 300.
middles used to look massive to me,but if your not carrying any fat then you'll have to box at that weight!!

I'm 5'9" and fight at light welter, I'm not even tall at the weight as I fought the jolly green giant well over 6 feet at 140.

You are a young guy. Still growing. Its no good for you to lose weight. If you can make 69 by cutting out the junk food and soda and doing more road work thats what you should do. But don't go on a crash diet.

How much you train and run?

Its better to train the weight off then do it by diet.
