Nope. Nobody has ever walked through Calzaghe's punches. Quite the opposite, every opponent has been on the retreat. Don't see that changing with Carl, especially when he can't defend himself.
Everybody who's fought Calzaghe says that he hits harder than you first think. Add in the volume of shots and the constant movement - Froch would gas early and get cut up badly.
A prime Calzaghe would stop Froch. He faded one would still out-point him comfortably. I don't know what delusional world he is in thinking he can beat Calzaghe.
No, just like Kessler, Hopkins, Jones and many others couldn't, Froch wouldn't. Taylors speed greatly troubled Froch. Froch can have issues with a Magee and Taylor approach. Quick shots all over gets him. No way in hell would Froch have an answer for what Joe does for every second of every round. Joe would be touching him so much you'd think he was a homo. Head and body would be ruined. Froch has nothing for Joe except a mouth and a punch and I don't think either gets to Calzaghe,.
Maybe early on, but eventually those slaps would start to hurt, given the speed and volume at which they come.
