Agreed. Unfortunately I think Floyd will move and counter to a decision.

This is still the toughest fight for mayweather at 147. Cotto fought a pretty good fight against mosley who in turn destroyed margarito. Anyone who thinks mayweather stops cotto clearly needs to re-examine floyds fights at 147. Cotto however is not a complete boxer at the moment and needs to learn how to clinch to take a rest.

As a Cotto fan I can't really offer up an argument as to how he could beat Floyd...Floyd is just too fast and too good technically...Floyd boxes him to a UD..8-4 rounds or something like that, Cotto would have his moments, but if Floyd turned it up I believe he can stop Cotto in the later rounds..

I think you probably didn't watch the MOSLEY/Cotto fight going by what you said in your previous post (#12)... that's what I think!!

I voted FMJ on pts but it could easily be FMJ by TKO.

Anyone who voted for Cotto either doesnt know **** about boxing or voted in sheer hope rather than actual belief.

Mayweather is in a different class from Cotto & would make him look ponderous & clumsey.... & yes, I would bet the house on it, not a problem.

Floyd by decison, but I think Cotto would make it a prety good and competitive fight. For a few reasons; his aggressive attacking style, his quick hands which would allow him to land more frequently other than say Margarito could, and that excellent jab of his which would not only provide cover for him on the way in, but would also keep some of Mayweathers potshotting in check. No, in this fight I think Mayweather would have to work hard for the victory and start throwing combination again instead of that one punch at a time bull**** he's known for these days.

Hard body shot's would slow FMJ or any fighter down, and relentless body shots are exactly what Cotto does best. :deal

Cotto hits hard to the body but he doesn't go there often enough. His body attack is far from relentless.

I think Floyd is very overrated at welter, I think it's a closer fight than most people think.

Thats true but I seriously dont see how Cotto will be able to get off on Mayweather like that....Keep in mind that Mayweather Defense is top notch...Its damn near the best in the game and I dont see how Cotto will get to Floyd's body...Cotto had a very hard time getting to Margorito's body (and Margorito's defense is **** poor) and I seriously dont see how Cotto will be able to land that body attack on Mayweather.
