Well nothing like milking your win for all it's worth. Good for him I guess.

He'll fit right in with the Sato, Ayala, Mustache Antonio Rubio, Small Elcock, Gary Pocket Rocket Lockett, Lajuan Simon, Jamie Pittman and Giovanni Lorenzo's of the MW world.

Sounds like I was right in thinking it was his managers idea.

And he wants to stay at 154..

Says the guy that obviously didn't read the link provided.

“I’m not looking for a fight with Kelly,” said Lyell, a Niles native who is coming off the biggest victory of his career. “Pat is my manager and he’s trying to find the biggest fight available, so obviously with Pavlik being the champ, that’s what he’s trying to do.
“I would never turn down a title fight with anyone, but it’s unrealistic that [a Pavlik fight] would ever happen.”

Lyell could also get an opportunity to fight WBA champion Felix Sturm, who also hails from Germany.
“I think I stand a decent chance against either of the Germans,” Lyell said. “I’m looking forward to fighting either of those fights or a fight at super welterweight.”

Pavlik will beat Abraham. Literally. :deal

Yep. Looking forward to it. If you see this prior to the show, try and ask him if the offers he is getting are for MW and not JMW since that is his weight class. Seems like stepping up and fighting JD at 155 should really enhance his image at 154.

6 EDT IF this works for anyone. :D

That would really be what's best for him- heck, it seems like he could probably cut to 147 without too much trouble. I'd strongly consider taking the 3 fight offer from Sauerland if I were in his shoes, though.

Will do... He mentioned the last time that he was most comfortable at 154, however I'm sure if someone offers him $$$$ and it's at 160, he'll take it.

Sauerland and Universum have both made offers to Lyell. They may be wanting to use him as a trial horse. I have no idea what the specifics of the offers were. However, you can't fault Pat Nelson for trying to up the asking price, and I think that is all he is doing with this Pavlik talk.
