Oh, don't get me wrong. I didn't say I agreed with everything he said. Just that Taylor is not that good. If he was, he would've beaten Froch who, in my view, is very limited. But hey, I could be wrong.

If Froch was more "skilled" he would have picked off the majority of Taylor's jabs with his gloves the way Pavlik did. However, Taylor could not freaking miss with a jab.

I stopped reading this thread early on. I see it as the TOUGHER guy won. Froch gritted it out when he had too starting in the 11th round.

That part is very true....I've always wondered about Taylor...He's a guy with talent but can never seem to live up to his potential...I mean come on, you beat the reigning middleweight champ of the world and turn around to go on to seriously messes up a wonderful streak he had going...Taylor is the only one to blame and I give props to Froch for taking him out the way he did...Taylor seems to be living in the past...thinking he could only do enough to get by....Doesnt work like this in this day and age...Taylor earned his hype ealier in career but now-a-days he thinks that the Hopkins win will get him a pass. (maybe I'm wrong) You can tell in his work ethic...He tries to do just enough to get by despite the natural gifts that he has.

Froch showed him its more to boxing than having skills....Taylor is lacking the heart to become champion....Hate to say it but Taylor may very well be a gatekeeper from here on out because of the lack of will to win when adversity is looking at him face to face.

So basically, if you apply pressure, you got no skills.

So Armstrong, Duran, Marciano and several other pressure fighters are pure garbage.

Thats my point exactly Booradley...Skills is really a non-factor if you dont have the will to win in you....Zab Judah is a fine example of that.

I understand why Hermit...Axe man can be a little delsusional at times:lol:....Several guys made some good valid points so it was rather interesting to see poster's points on this matter.

Why do you insist on being so stubborn? Not a single person has agreed with you in this thread. Everyone else must be wrong, because you're the only one who can be right huh? Perhaps it's time to ponder to yourself "Maybe I'm full of ****?"

You continue to ignore the valid points that people have brought up in this thread. Why call people names just because they don't agree with you?? Why do you keep bringing up Taylor's boxing IQ and his inability to fight bigger fighters as if that's the only indicator of skill?? Why aren't you discussing Froch and how he is more skilled than Taylor??

Throwing combinations, defense, timing, movement, counterpunching, these are all skills... and these are all things Taylor does better than Froch. So what skills does Froch possess that are superior to Taylor's? Please enlighten us. I really wanna know. And again... chin, stamina, and power are not skills.

It depends on what your definition of "is" is. I would have to think you are just getting your jollies off :stir doing this? Yeah, make up your own definitions and the rest of the world is supposed to accept them. :patsch I can't believe people are playing along with you still. :bart

Taylor pretty much outboxed Froch throughout most of the fight, and would of won if he wasn't tkoed.

I'm fed up of this stupid stamina argument.
Bottom line: For his stamina to be better would require a change in his training. He'd have to cut back on other areas, ie speed, movement etc, therefore the guy we saw in the ring would have been different and probably not as sharp.

Am I wrong? If so explain how please.

I think the people who just say it's a stamina issue and it's a training issue are missing what's right in front of them nearly every time he fights, and especially for punchers- he's tense the entire time, uses alot of herky-jerky movements, and is almost never relaxed- he always looks on edge to jump a counterpunching opportunity. That gives you better reaction time, but it costs alot of energy to do it for the entire round. That he loads up on his shots when he's in this mode uses more. He can't fight relaxed and be comfortable doing it.

He uses his energy inefficiently, and that's it. It's not that he comes to fights out of shape, doesn't do enough roadwork, or doesn't do enough sparring leading into it. It's that any gains he's made through those measures go out the window when he fights someone who's a puncher because he wastes energy using the things I described above.
