To be fair that tends to complicate things. For instance Margarito is considered a true born Mexican fighter despite the fact he was born in Cali. Likewise on Vargas.

We need more superstars asap. Hopkins is what 43 or 44 and he is number one in America? I really hope Juanma, Ortiz, Peterson, and a few others claim this P4P soon. I respect and think Hopkins and Mosley are great, but new blood is needed.

The question is what would Ortiz and JunaMa be considered?

Personally I think Danny Jacobs will be leading the charge sooner than later.

    Work in progress.

I have yet to see this guy and I heard good things. I heard he is replacing Kirkland and taking on Walker.

I feel sorry for the US fight fans because they won't have many top 10 p4p american fighters when mosley and hopkins retire.

I mean is JuanMa a puerto rican (and not US fighter) and will people try to claim Victor Ortiz is mexican and not American?

We have more than enough. Fret not.

Not just that but damn, Hopkins probably will never retire. We'll be in 2019 going "B-Hop is gonna kick Calzaghetron2000s ass!"

Uh okay, we've got fighters coming along that will be ready to take Hopkins and Mosley's places when they retire.

I guess if we counted Puerto Rican fighters as American also it would not be fair considering they P4P produce the most champions.

Ortiz, Antillon, Arreola, Williams, Kirkland, Dawson, Pavlik, Jacobs are just a few possibilities.

PR is part of the US and I am not sure if Ortiz was born here or in Mexico. I know what you mean though. I hoping a PR poster answers this part of the question due to sometimes it gets complicated. When I say PR, I mean a poster from the island not here.

Ortiz is definitely considered American and should be. He's born and raised here.

    1)Hopkins
    2)Mosley
    3)Williams
    4)Bradley
    5)Dawson

I think bradley has done enough to earn a place above pavlik, who i see as not as skilled or as better fighter so i give bradley that spot

Ortiz was born in Kansas of all ****ing places. Still won't stop some people from claiming him as true mexican.

Likewise on JuanMa. Born in Caguas can we claim him?

Also gotta look at Juan Diaz who was born and raised in H-Town but considers himself a true Mexican. Thankfully JMM sort of cleared that one up for us.
