How many PPV is Pacquiao-Hatton going to generate?

    I'd say around 800.000.
    No way it's going to hit the 1.000.000 mark.
    Neither Hatton nor Pacquiao are crossover stars in the States...Top Rank did an amazing job building him in America but I still think he'll never get to reach De La Hoya's status.
    Is it on PPV in Great Britain also and if it is are those PPV gonna count when Taffet will release the final numbers?

    Yes it is and not sure what Taffet is, but Sky Box Office rarely release numbers except for promotional purposes (eg Hatton v Mayweather).

    Numbers - 1.3 million (600k US, 700k UK).

    World Wide? 1.4 to 1.7 mil

    In the US? I'll venture a guess and say 800K.

    I'm being optomistic of course but this fight is big here in the States. My grandfather has Alzheimer's and can't ever remember his name yet he knows Hatton/Pac on May 2nd.

    600-650k in the US. I think that's very realistic and would be a very solid #. I'd be pretty surprised, but happy for the sport, if it crossed 700k

    Sounds realistic with this economy, else I would say it would have reach 1mil. Baring in mind fights like Cotto-Mosley, JMM/Pac did around 400-500k I believe... Both fights didnt have anywhere near the same amount of promotion or the pulling power of both fighters.

    700,000-900,000 ..Prolly right in the middle around 800,000 I think!

    I think some of you all are getting too carried away here. Manny and Pac aren't huge names among the casual boxing crowd. They're known primarily as opponents of more famous fighters. Not saying it won't do well, but it's defintely not raking in astronomic PPV numbers.
