Hes very overrated as a bodypuncher sure he works the body but from the fights ive seen of him it doesnt seem to slow down his opopents at all if you look at the fights against Collazo and Urango he was the one that slowed down in the end of the fight and had to hold on for dear life.
if you wanna watch a great bodypuncher at work watch Cotto,when he doesnt put guys down with a bodyshot he sistematically breaks them down with it.

 

look dont get me wrong hatton is a good body puncher, his punchers up close are effective and hatton has won countless number of rounds becuase his body punching was effective and does catch the eye of the judges and the flinchs from opponents, but what hatton is not is a 1 punch body knockout artist which many people are still fooled by the castillio result, look hatton will test pacs body thats certain , but what we dont know is how his body is going to react to a fighter who can punch effective to the body for 12 rounds consistent at this new weight

 

Pacman is saying he is ready to fall to the canvas when that body gets hit.

End of the day Mannys the smaller man and hatton is a specialist body puncher. The fact he knocked out Castillo and Marquez nearly stopped manny with a body shot tells you all you need to know.

If Ricky catches Manny just right, he ain't beating the count, no matter how tough and strong-willed he is. Thing is, though, to catch Manny just right, you have to win yourself some time and to get him to stop moving for a bit and to stop punching you in the face with his very fast combinations. The same people comparing Pacquiao to Castillo are the same ones saying Manny only beat Oscar because Oscar was weight drained. Figure out the problem with that logic.

I have seen both fights manny times and i dont remember that happening.

And Hatton might be bigger but hes not half as good as JMM.

 

The key to this fight is Pacquiao's improved footwork. He is now faster and more elusive than he's ever been. Hatton will struggle woefully to get him to the ropes or a corner, and will struggle woefully to land a significant bodyshot. If he does connect, it definitely does spell trouble for Pac, as I think Hatton could put a dent in most welterweights, he is an excellent bodypuncher. But I genuinely don't anticipate him landing many - if any. Pac's speed around the ring will shock Hatton.

No he is not as good, but he is bigger and has much faster feet.

He is also a harder and better body puncher. Nobody has been able to avoid Hatton. Manny will take one of these shots he will buckel.
