Just a quick post to say that if anyone thinks Manny can box and move the entire fight, you're badly mistaken. It will not happen, they will engage and my guess is from the opening bell.

Hatton closes too fast, and Manny isn't that slick, so it's gonna be fireworks, I can garuntee that.

Ricky will destroy Manny on saturday night. Sorry to sound like one of those idiotic fans that say such things and know nothing about boxing, but I honestly believe the boxing world has this fight badly wrong.

Good luck to both men, but the bigger, stronger, underrated, written-off fighter will win this weekend. From one fighter, every aspect of his game has been blown waaay out of proporation and from the other, his faults have been highlighted to the extent most people can't see a way for him to win.

    Mistake. Hatton wins this.

    i agree.

although IF manny were to win, i would be very happy to be wrong...it would be one of the all time great achievements in the sport and i would celebrate that..

but, i think hatton will beat manny too.

i also strongly agree that the boxing world, and the bookies*, have this fight badly wrong.

*although i am glad that the bookies have the view they have, as i got 9/2 on hatton to stop manny...now thats huge value.

I don't think most people have written Hatton off even if most are picking Pacquiao to win

I think Pac takes it, very convincingly.

Naaah, don't get it twisted man. This isn't some off the cuff thread, I've thought about this fight for a long ass time.

I won't say Hattons shot in the slighest - I dont make excuses for people. I love boxing, it's my life, and I admire and respect Manny, but I personally believe the majority of people have this fight all wrong.

As stated, good luck to both men and Hatton couldn't lose to a nicer, better man. It's just one of them things, Hatton is all wrong for Manny.

Like I said before in another thread, when I place Manny's attributes on a orthodox fighter, the way he fights, his natural size, he gets badly beaten. His southpaw stance is his biggest asset here, providing he can negate Hatton on the way in consistently and because of the way he fights, he wont do that IMHO.

Everything he has as an attribute has been blown out of proporation man, from speed to power to strength, especially his defensive ability. And because of that, he loses.

Hatton is in for some deep ****.

His chin will take a battering like never before, and the countless times Tszyu rocked him will be delivered on a round by round basis.

Hatton has always left his chin hanging, and defends himself poorly, on the basis that he is the aggressor and is lookig for the KO. He will find himself up against speedy powerful combinations, and his chin will take a battering he won't sustain.

Hatton got KOd by the featherfisted PBF, so don't tell me Pacquiao's power will count for nothing at 140lbs.

Hatton can only win by a body shot early on - if he doesn't get he will be chewed up convincingly and spat out.

Pacquiao KO - Round 5 is my prediction.

If Pacquiao doesn't KO him, I will change my avatar to a man showering.

    Pacquiao KO12 Hatton

But I think it will be a real epic, life and death, bloody and brutal war. I wouldn't be surprised if both hit the canvas and both were cut.

Ultimately, in the championship rounds I go with Manny's chin over Hatton's, Manny's speed over Hatton's, Manny's stamina over Hatton's.

Stick and move? Hatton is very good at cutting off the ring unlike the old and weight drained hoya.. Stick and move isn't going to work that well.
