Middleweight- Marvin Hagler: Good boxer with strong jab & throws hard combinations, aggressive. yet slow of footwork allows him to almost be outworked at times.(Antuofermo I,Leonard,Duran). But overall a great fighter who does go into "destruct & destroy" mode very well.

Yeah they did at times i agree, he is possibly the best fit at the weight in that he can emulate the style to a decent degree, but he was just more complete stylistically imo, not to say he was better effectively, but that boxing ability of Ortiz may make some avoid the choice.

Its a good one though yes, just a bit of devils advocate!

I like this one, when you see how Hagler went about that stoppage of Minter, and his style later on in his career its goo. Again when he got fighting he was a bit more of a fighter naturally than a box fighter/puncher like Louis was.

I'm not criticising picks here guys, just in the mood to talk these great fighters' styles

P4P greatness isn't what we're comparing regardless. Style similiarities, regardless of the fighters greatness.

The only fighter I see listed here that reminds me of Louis is Ike Williams.

Aside from that... maybe Eder Jofre?

I've always thought Dick Tiger had a somewhat similar style as Louis, though his style was a bit more awkward, and perhaps less polished.

Jofre, interesting, i think i like that one. The only thing i could point out would be maybe the actual technique of the punches thrown were different, but that would be because Jofre had a long reach for his weight class imo. But the stylistic similarity is a good shout from the footage available.

Tiger, i just think the emphasis is more on the strength with him rather than the pinpoint punches.

Jofre did had a tendency of winging in his punches though at times, although he would revert back to being technically sound again and vice versa. Didn't do him any harm though, he had stone fists!

And BTW, PowerPuncher's bad comparison is due to the fact he knows **** all about boxing.

Apparently Arguello had 'no jab' :rofl

Hey stalker I dont think I know who you are but obviously you know me. I dont remember saying that because Arguello does have a good but slowish jab. I remember saying Arguello is very outboxable

Arguello isnt even as fast as Louis despite Louis being bigger, he also never fought men 4inches taller and 40lbs heavier like Louis. Arguello was always the bigger man, practically a bully picking on smaller men, that isn't what P4P is about for me.
