Who the **** cares what his personality is; how a fighter is wired mentally is his business as long as he's not a mass murder.

    And personality is significant in boxers. People remember Ali as much for his personality as his boxing skills. It can determine whether people like a fighter or not. It's a valid question you overly-aggressive caveman.

    Personality is significant if you want to marry him.. Ali personality came at time when the country had racial unrest, Ali was member of religion that publicly claimed that white people were evil, and denounced the draft .. The Ali stigma was based more on his beliefs and his willingness to stand by them.


    His boxing style at the time was quite different from any other heavy weight. He was a Heavy weight that moved around the ring like a middle weight.


    Ali absent from the ring gave the public a look at his personality as a person, not as a fighter.

    His boxing style and his willingness to fight the tuffest fighters in boxing made him a legend. Also Ali Loved being hated because it put but in seats and help in ticket sales, which was a business move not a personality trait.

    I think it also depends a little on what country the fans come from! To me it seems like american boxingfans like the exciting trash talking style best (not all ofcourse) but most! europeans like the more humble and polite boxers, who doesn`t trash talk! In my country pro atletes are suposed to be role-models for kids and young people, so a boxer like Tarver or Mayweather`s style would go very bad here:p

    Proper Hardmen who let their fists do most of the talking, but weren't afraid to respond when people talked trash to them. Nigel Benn springs to mind for one.
