There wont be a lot of Russian fans comming over to Finnland from Ru ssia in order to watch Valuev. Valuev is a very known name in Russia's sport, but I very much doubt that he has that many fans there. He usually fights in Germany where there are more than 3,500.000 russian-speaking people.Nevertheless,he is no big draw among the Russian or russian-speaking community. Povetkin is far m ore popular than Valuev.
I dont care about other matches but I would like to see Russian prospect Dennis Shafikov fighting. IMO kid has some potential and he very young still. Guy is freakin 5'5" and he is fighting in lw but done well by this. take a look at him buddy if you care!
Excellent. This gives a slightly boring looking fight in Germany a new complexion! God bless Finland!
I hope Chagaev wins. I've given Valuev credit in the past but that Holyfield fight was absolutely diabolical, almost aside who you think should've won or not.
Both guys are hard to watch. Valuev is much older so I assume Sauerland will feed him to one of the Klitschko's sooner or later.
Valuev has improved a lot since his loss to Chagaev, whilst Chagaev did not impress me vs. Skelton and Drumond. KO chance is 0% as Valuev is not KO-able and has not the punch nor the aggressiveness to KO Chagaev (If you want to see entertaining fights with high KO probability better watch Brian Minto!). My prediction: This time Valuev wins by UD or MD in a close fight.
Yes , he is official challenger. The winner of Valuev - Chagaev will have to fight him until 30/05/2010
I agree! I have also noticed that the bookmakers have not yet published the odds for the Valuev - Chagaev fight. They have the Klitchko - Haye fight ready but not this one even though it will take place 3 weeks earlier
