Taylor's performances might have not impressed you but look at his opponents.

    Hopkins rematch
Wright (when he was labeled the most avoided fighter at the time)
    Ouma
Spinks (tune-up to fight the winner on the undercard, Pavlik/Miranda)
    Pavlik

So far he wipes the floor with Pavlik's resume and it's not even close. Pavlik fought Gary Lockett and is now fighting Mora who is coming off a loss to a shot to death Forrest at Jr. Middle.

    Who really Taylor clearly beat?
Definitely not Hopkins, and he was owned by Pavlik 2x and now by Froch.
Abraham would finish Taylor 2x faster than Pavlik and Froch.
I think h2h Abraham beats Pavlik so I think Abraham is the champion.
Sorry mate but you cant PROVE anything between Abraham/Pavlik until they
fight, so before that I have the same claim to call Abraham
champion as you can claim Pavlik or even Sturm.

Don't worry Duddy will save MW boxing, just as soon as he avenges his defeat to Billy ****kin Lyell :patsch

Real talk though, have faith in Duddyboy

No one cares about that ****.

I never liked JT that much anyway. This is about how your boy won't ****in defend his title against a live opponent. C'mon man. You really gonna sit there and act like he's defending his **** to great competition? And you're gonna act like he hasn't had the opportunity to take some better fights?

He can't hang on to that strap forever, unless he pulls a Calzaghe....

Your opinions and preferences don't mean much. Pavlik is the Ring champ, the WBC champ, and the WBO champ. He beat the man who beat the man. Abraham is holding a title that rightfully belongs to Pavlik. KP is THE world middleweight champion. Arthur is just a titlist, and opinions do not count. Boxing does not run on opinion. It runs on fighting and winning.

If you want to rate AA higher than KP, it's a fools errand, but you have the right to do that, but he is NOT the champ, and he has never even been in the ring with a world middleweight champion. And what the **** is a guy who lost 4 rounds to Lujaun Simon going to do against Pavlik? I mean besides getting knocked the **** out?

And Pavlik was clearly schooled recently by Hopkins, if the fight
would be like 5 pounds down, Pavlik should not wear any belt.
Between Hopkins and Abraham I think Hopkins may be too slick
but Hopkins ain't gonna fight at MW anymore same as Taylor.
So its obviously Pavlik-Abraham debate and after Pavlik got
shooed by Hopkins I think Abraham will finish him too.
Do you have any arguments in Pavlik - Abraham h2h comparison?

Here's a link to a good thread we had. If KP and AA meet in November according to the current negotiations, this thread will be like 10 months old. I'll update my analysis around October. There are a couple of negatives I did not see in their last fights, and at least one positive from KP. I want to do a whole new one after Pavlik/Mora and Abraham/Lorenzo.

    1) Who, really, has AA clearly beat? Anyone better than Taylor?

    2) You think? I thought most boxing champs were determined by beating the guy with the title. Your blessing would seem to have very little to do with it.

Kelly's fighting **** defenses, so are AA and Sturm. But he is the linear champ, not by opinion but by a win in the ring. Argue AA is the better fighter, but he isn't the MW champ.

Taylor took on Winky Wright which puts his MW champ resume far above Pavlik's.

That said Kelly is still young into his reign and who knows? Maybe a win over Bora and an Abraham fight will fix that.

Taylor has all the talent in the world he needed to dominate. But he never listens to his corner. he dosent finish fights(corey spinks) and he gets discouraged quickly

I like Pavlik although taylor is the better fighter but what does it matter if taylor never shows his skill while pavlik imposes his will which means nothing when theres a dozen cats in you divison with the same will and better skill.

    I like neither.

Not much of the boxing world agrees with you on that one, but hey, your opinion.

Two mandatories and Bhop. He didn't choose the mandatories. That isn't an excuse. That is a fact. Only one meaningful fight left at MW since he is so dominate and that is being slated for November. Even AA has said it is 85% done.

You sure trip and fall in a lot of crap when you go through life wearing blinders. :deal

I hope you are joking. Lyell was as literal a blown up JMW as you can find, though he prefers Super Welterweight. :D He had to eat extra to stay above 154 to fight Duddy. Duddy needs to move on and forget about Lyell. Lyell is what he is because he doesn't TALK about fighting all comers, he DOES IT. A lot of fighters, Duddy included, would be better now if they weren't afraid of a loss.

During the broadcast the promoter of the fight said he offered Duddy's team a lot of different options for the fight and they chose what they assumed to be the weakest. He was disappointed at the time but as a promoter he was happy to see Lyell putting up a good show at the start.

Pavlik. He won the title convincingly, rather than relying on HBO to get him gift decision after gift decision.

The thing is Hopkins was at 170.

Honestly people can't raise a stink about Pavlik's resume if he fights Taylor in a rematch at 160 and Hopkins at 170. That was one of the problems with weight jumping, it killed his resume.
