No. If berto can finish he will. and niether show athletic abilities really. They flatfooted as hell. Berto has better defense he dosent stick his chin out for you all night.
Berto also listens to his corner even tho there not a good corner he needs manny to increase footwork and intelligence and hes a worl beater

yeah it seems his ring intelligence isn't too great,he seems to forget his game plan and fight the other guys fight.he got a little gassed against forbes,he was gassed against collazo too, if he's another taylor we'll find out after he fights urango

The Only things these 2 have in common is that both guys have fast hands and are explosive, Taylor has been in with much better comp, while Berto who is still green appears to do a better job of putting his shots together.

I disagree about Berto having better defense, while fast he has ZERO footwork and just stands there squared up in front of the opponent, Taylor atleast moves around and tries to keep his opponents and the end of his jab to set up the right hand. I agree with Berto being a much better finisher, he puts shots together quite well.

Do you really think it's a stamina issue for Jermain as much as it is nerves?

I mean, you could argue that it's stamina because of all that figity and unneccesary movement he makes in the ring, but he didn't have a stamina problem vs Bernard or Ouma.

Honestly, the only time it seems Taylor has a stamina problem is when he's pressured. The man cannot deal with pressure.

In this regard Berto is different as Berto often initiates a brawl. Berto throws eye catching combinations, but as a boxer, he is very limited and you can tell because of his monotonous offense, geared with his reliance on a game changing punch, (uppercut), and his porous defense.

What's funny is that Skill is now "RING IQ" because people couldn't get me in that Froch debate.

Either you can box or you can't. Berto right now atleast is an example of an extraordinary boxer who can fight, but lacks skill.

His punches are sharp, no doubt, but he makes a lot of fundamental mistakes that you wouldn't expect from a pro that has such high acclaim.

Taylor was pressured by Wink and he was pressured very hard by Ouma, agianst Ouma he ran out of steam towards the end but Ouma was just WAY TOO SMALL and weak of a puncher to do anything to Taylor. Jeff Lacy pressured Taylor all night and he had the size and strength to hurt him unfortunately he only has 1 arm. As for Hopkins he is old man and fights at a slow pace a young Bhops would stop JT in 7 IMO.

The problem with your argument is Froch was losing the fight, he HAD to have the KO to win, his own trainer admitted it, Taylor simply couldn't finish the fight. IMO Froch is the better fighter but he is not as skilled.

No, I dont think that Berto will ever do what JT has done already, been the recognized (and undisputed) champion of a weight division. Berto is good, but I'm worried about his chin and his tendency to get wide with his punches sometimes (when he is attacking).

:good Great pt, Berto is nothing more than a prospect with a paper belt he has yet to fight any elite fighters, While Taylor has fought against elite fighters numerous times and he did become the man.

Yeah I think Berto won't be as successful as Taylor but I could be wrong.
Berto does have HBO's support behind him.

I give props to Berto for finally stepping it up against Collazo, but why is he
fighting Urango, I think he should rematch Collazo(that's what they said they were gonna do) but instead he's fighting a 140 fighter.

To be honest I don't think Berto would've beat the Judah that fought Cotto, PBF or Clottey.

I doubt Berto will ever become the undisputed WW champ but like JT he also has great athletic abilities and is fighting title fights against smaller fighter(Forbes,Urango)

I stopped reading after this last sentence. Please rewatch Taylor vs Hopkins I and Taylor vs Ouma

a while ago, before Taylor fought Pavlik in the rematch, I said the following about Taylor's stamina

"Taylor's stamina is proven... proven to be bad."

In fact, it even showed against Lacy
