I got to admit it guys, I am a fan of Rahman's. Most of you probably think he is just a punk with a good right hand and a (debateable) glass jaw, but I can't help it, Im a fan. There has been speculation about him fighting in MMA, but I don't think this will happen, and if it does, he won't last long. Do you think we have seen the last of him, or will he return?
I pray that we dont.. I usually dont hate on fighters but Rahman is someone who I really dislike.. His lazyiness, poor work ethic, out of shape body.. he's the epitome of today's poor HW fighter and i respect nothing about him.
I've never liked Rahman. The guy has built his whole career around the one right hand against Lewis. He's done little else apart from get knocked out everytime he's stepped up.
IMO Hasim was really never that good to me so I rather not see him fight again. (just my honest opinion)
And let me just clarify that I am not saying that Rahman is a great fighter or anything, just that I am a fan of the guy.
He's nothing but a one punch wonder. If not for that one lucky punch, he would be a Monte Barrett level fighter.
To be honest I've always thought Rahman will always go out to become at least a HOF HW in the beggining of his career, whe nhe beat Puritty,Berbick etc.But then the rest of his career happened.....that highlight reel KO to Maskaev in 99 still shakes my head. Anyway he is somewhat of a one hit wonder but he is better than people talk about him. As far as his career, his manager said he won't go to MMA and that he would return in may, obvioulsy he won't but he prolly still will fight on.
Ya know the times when i was remotely impressed was when he beat sanders and Lewis.. But im pretty convinced that was a fluke victory. I lost interest after the Tua rematch but after the Ruiz fight, I stopped watching him. Rahman is what's wrong about the HW division.
Wow, I never even put that much stock in him. But I suppose I can see why you might have thought that.
