Barrera is younger, bigger, faster and overall a better fighter than Penalosa and would give JUanma a lot more problems than the filipino did.

MAB has a decent chance of winning this one. See Pavlik/Hopkins!

I've just been reading your threads. You both make valid points. Of course i want to favour Marquez, but Selfkill's also right in a lot of what he says. Both were great Mexican warriors.

BOth are great but they can't be equal..

Who's above the other in terms of pure boxing skills, counterpunching ability, footwork, chin, defense, and punching power?

    Give me a manly answer.

 SKs a great guy i aint gonna **** on his boy.

It's too hard anyway. Marco was a devastating fighter in his prime, just as JMM has been more recently. It's all too easy to forget what things were really like years ago.

When they fought a couple years ago it was incredibly close.

Their careers are vice versa parallel. Marco started off as a brutal slugger and became a master CP. Marquez started off the ultimate CP and turned into a master boxer/puncher.

Breakin it down, both have great chins/recovery, footwork, defense, punching power - they're pretty much equal.

Barrera has the better resume. Barrera is very dirty and spiteful. Marquez was almost unbeatable when no one really knew who he was. Barerra came into the spotlight quickly due to his brawler style.

I'll always pick Marquez over Barrera, and for many reasons. But i can understand why MAB fans would do the same.

Hey who cares if he wasn't prime right? He got a W against Barrera, that's all that matters.. He got smoked!

That win shouldn't count using your mentality.

But that's only when it's Pac.

Just more proof of your ******ness.

So by this assessment, Lopez is faster, hits harder and has a higher workrate than Khan?
