    Tough question, I'd like to see how a poll goes.

    All things considered: resume, H2H, ability and achivements.

    Who do you rate more highly, Barrera or Morales?

    MORALES based on resume, h2d, and ability..

    Marco had the higher boxing IQ though imo. He knew what was best for him and fought accordingly.

    MORALES

    Resume=close(probably slight edge to Morales)

    H2H= MAB (2-1)

    Ability= MAB(was more ringsmart and versatile than Morales)

    On paper yes, it's 2-1, but the first fight had the right winner in morales although it was real close. In a close championship like that one, the champion usually gets the benedit of a doubt and Morales was the one at the time. It's a cliche but the challenger has to take the belt from the champion yet morales fought far too well to lose that title.. Marco fought great but he didnt beat the champ.

    The rematch i think we can all agree that morales clearly outboxed him. The judges had the first fight in the back of their head so they just gave it to barrera..

    Resume wise, Morales beat Zaragoza although he wasn't at his best then went on to beat Junior Jones who beat Barrera.. For me the first morales/pac fight alone seals the deal for him as the superior fighter.

    Of course he had other great wins in between against the likes of Ayala, In JIn Chi, Mccullough, Kelley, chavez, hernandez and even went up to face Diaz which i thought he won..

    Marco is more intelligent and knows how to utilize his strength but morales was just as versatile when he chose to be and i believe his resume is slightly better as well.

    What a thread.

    Morales was the people's champ.

    But Barrera fundamentally the more sensible boxer.

    I can't decide who was 'better', but el terrible was more endearing put it that way.

    pretty close but a prime barrera got schooled by pacquiao hurts his legacy. people would start questioning his overall ability.

    morales ranks higher imo

    Morales wins this poll because he is the purists favourite, not because he was better. :good

    no way, that's pure objectivity there...how can you say that a fighter has superior ability if he can't find a way to neutralize the skill of pacquiao?

    look at morales, even the 2nd pacquiao fight was competitive, he find a way to adjust to any type of fighter
