Yeah I can see JMM's strategy now. He gets in the ring, shoots Floyd in the leg and runs over a smashes him over the face with a bat.

    Down goes Floyd!

For a come back tune-up type of fight this isn't a bad one at all and no one is really forcing Marquez to take it, he said he wants it and now got it. I remember Margarito who many praised as a beast and one who humanity fears for a good two years used to feast on the likes of Golden Johnson and Manuel Gomez as tune-ups and people would praise him to death for it. Anyone that would say Marquez falls in the same category is delusional.

Speaking of the real welterweights there's only ONE real welterweight worth mentioning right now and it's Mosley. Even Mosley was called out years ago and turned it down to allow DLH to take the fight so I don't know what haters will look to invent this time around.

As I said, for a come back/tune-up this isn't a bad pick at all.

P.S. I've checked several news sites and not a single one is confirming this. This should be a good site for constant updates.

well the skysports website os obviously behind then. Haven't seen it anywhere else so I'll believe it when I see it.

This is not a tune-up. Money will get his money then retire again. He might fight Pac after Marquez, but the best fight, him vs Shane, will never happen, Floyd doesn't want that fight IMO

He lets all the other fighters in his division fight each other and manages to avoid the real threats at welter but somehow becomes brave when, smaller, safer fighters call him out.

Typical PBF fan, what a dip****:patsch

Rofl how is Marquez the smaller fighter moron? Marquez weighs 144 on fight night. Floyd weighs 148. Floyd is one inch taller then him. Both made their careers at super feather. In a tune up fight no less. Wow. I bet if Floyd fought the 4 inch taller 20lbs heavier Margarito you wouldnt call Margarito a cherry picker would you *****? :good

Based on what I've read from you since I've been here, I'm likely never to try and match boxing wits/knowledge with yu, Dude. But "a come back tune-up type of fight," Dude. Dontcha think you're underestimating JMM's abilities just abit? It came across a little denigrating. Look over me if I misconstrued that.
