For a come back tune-up type of fight this isn't a bad one at all and no one is really forcing Marquez to take it, he said he wants it and now got it. I remember Margarito who many praised as a beast and one who humanity fears for a good two years used to feast on the likes of Golden Johnson and Manuel Gomez as tune-ups and people would praise him to death for it. Anyone that would say Marquez falls in the same category is delusional. Speaking of the real welterweights there's only ONE real welterweight worth mentioning right now and it's Mosley. Even Mosley was called out years ago and turned it down to allow DLH to take the fight so I don't know what haters will look to invent this time around. As I said, for a come back/tune-up this isn't a bad pick at all. P.S. I've checked several news sites and not a single one is confirming this. He might fight Pac after Marquez, but the best fight, him vs Shane, will never happen, Floyd doesn't want that fight IMO
