What if Hatton had fought Barrera or Morales?

    Both better technical boxers than him, but both would have been destroyed.

    The same thing happens to Manny this weekend. Too big, too strong, and a beast at 140. The Oscar win has blinded the boxing world.

    You can't land combinations on Hatton until the 2nd half of the fight, by then, Manny will be out of there.

    manny will not stay in front of hatton.. Manny knows that he has to be smart. just watch manny's foot speed and head movement (obviously the hand speed.) it will be all too much for ricky

    No they wouldnt .. not because their not better boxers, but because of the natural sizes of the men. It's a simple as that.

    Anyway, we'll see man. Bump the thread after the fight.

    Man... check it. You have to have movement like Mayweather to stay away from him or be extremely slick. When has Manny every been THAT slick? Talk about over-playign someones attributes, damn.

    Manny gets hit, Hatton gets hit... it's that simple. Except Hatton is too strong for him and it'll be evident right off the bat.

    What is this too big stuff? Ricky is 5' 7" and manny is 5' 6"! If Ricky balloons up after the weigh in that only helps manny, Ricky is sluggish at anything over 147.

    actually Manny has a 2 inch reach advantage!

    The southpaw style of Manny is what will be the difference in this fight.

    Trust me man... Hatton is TOO BIG for him at this weight. F-ck me.. I'm not talking about height. He's naturally more dense than Manny, physically stronger and used to bossing MUCH BIGGER fighters than Manny around at 140lb. Compare Mannys frame to someone like Urango and you'll see where I'm coming from.

    I feel Hatton would be too much for Morales or Barrera, dont get me wrong, there would be spells were they could out-box Hatton & make him look silly but ultimately the size would kick in.

    Thats actually the main reason I fancy Hatton over Pac, I too think most are blinded by Pac`s win over DLH & if you asked anyone BEFORE the Pac DLH fight who would win between Pac & Hatton, most would say Hatton by KO.

    In saying that - Pac looked comfortable at 147 & I believe he carries his best attributes up the weights better than EM or MAB who were best at lower weights & gradually faded going up were as Pac was a freak physically & improved his skills moving up so he would likely do better vs Hatton anyway.... but I still pick Hatton, likely on pts.

    Yeah man, I'm with you. I think people just think I don't like Manny or something. I think the man is an outstanding fighter and a great guy, I just see Hattons natural size being a real issue for him.

    If Hatton was a slow fighter, I'd pick Manny every day of the week, but because:

    1. Manny isn't elusive
    2. Hatton closes the punching range very quickly
    3. They'll fight as its in both their natures

    I fancy Ricky... not because he's more skilled than Manny but because styles make fights, and other than the southpaw stance, both styles equal a war and the bigger man wins this one.
