Are you serious? I'll go on record and tell you that Amy would massacre Mrs. Goodson, and it wouldn't take long. At all.

God, you're a moron. Yes, someone with over 50 or 100 fights would hammer you, badly.

    No they wouldn't.

I'm no fool. I know of my own capabilities. I haven't come to this conclusion out of thin air.

It's just that because of your own personal insecurities and perhaps instances in your life that you deem as failures, you feel the need to spew your hatred on others.

I came on here asking for advice. I don't need someone that is struggling to live up to their own personal dreams to come and try to smash mine.

    Either way, it ain't happinin.

But as for what you said, I know otherwise, and I didn't say that I thought, I said that I knew.

That means that something must of occured in my life to make this happen....

    But you.....

Do your own thing, but leave the opinions where they belong....

    Axe -

In boxing, especially the Amateurs, you have to earn your respect. It isn't given, you start out at the bottom of the pile, and after a long time and a lot of fights you earn respect and maybe, MAYBE, 3% of all the people who box amateur even get a sniff of the professionals and the have courage, are willing to make the sacrifices, and have the intestintal fortitude to stick it out through the slim times.

It's about patience, respect, dignity, commitment, and willpower.

It doesn't matter what skills you have or don't have, until you have proven them over and over, you're not going to get to walk onto canvas anywhere worthwhile.

You want advice? Stop talking on forums and go train. Enter in some tournaments. Build your amateur record up. I've seen a lot of guys with a lot of athletic ability and natural talent get lambasted by a guy with more ring experience who may not be a better athlete, may even be out of shape comparatively.

Enter into the Golden Gloves, winning that would go a long way towards a professional career, and lord knows the US could use some up and comers.

CAN YOU ANSWER MY ****ING QUESTION? I'm excited about this new, amazing prospect and I want more information about you. I actually have a friend who is a promoter and is looking for boxers. So could you please tell me: WHAT HAVE YOU WON? WHO HAVE YOU BOXED? HAVE YOU ACTUALLY BOXED?

    Thanks.

You can be naturally gifted all you want, you're not going to get far if you don't train :/ You aren't born a boxer, you're made into one. My coach says I'm "naturally gifted," but I still bust my ass in the gym, because I still have things I need to work on. Along with everyone else

Axe - i'm not going to come on here and pull you apart, but I would like to offer some friendly advice from an old head.

In boxing, be it amateur of pro, you work your way up by paying your due's. You pay your due's in the gym, you pay your due's in the amateurs, building up your record as you go, you pay your due's by entering tournaments, often fighting daily. You pay your due's in the pro's by starting at the bottom and working your way through different levels of opposition. My point is, you just don't walk into boxing at a high level. Even if you take a guy who has all of the ability in the world, he isn't going to get a title shot in his first fight. You need to get out there and prove yourself, you need to get training (if you aren't already), you need to prove how determinied and dedicated you are for any coach to take you seriously. Once you have proven yourelf to a coach, he/she will invest time in you, and guide you. Your coach will decide where you are better suited, amateur of pro (more often than not, amateur), and will advise you as such. Once you have this solid foundation of training, support (coaches, managers etc), fights and tournaments, you will progress to where you want to be, with a bit of luck thrown into the equation.

Start off small, fella. What have you got to lose? At worst, you could win a few low level tournaments which will help you to qualify for national golden gloves, from there, the world is your oyster. If you try to start off at a higher level, there is a greater chance of you racking up a few losses, and this will put you back to square one.
