    PBF is 39-0
4 fights at 147 and only Baldomir was a natural welterweight who began his career at 147.
    3 fights at 140
and the 1 fight against oscar at 150.
31 out of 39 fights at 135 and below, Now how can Floyd be considered a true welterweight??? how is this cherry picking the best or second best p4p fighter in the world???

On fight night floyd comes in at 147-149 he does not hydrate up to insane weights. He is a natural jr. Welterweight by boxing standards.

    What do you guys think???

    No.

More of a natural Jr WW. Although his abilities allow him to fight at 147 and 154.

I don't think he likes to cut weight.

Depends what you mean by natural. Giving the crazy way weight classes is structured, most welterweights arent real welterweighs. Guys like Margarito, Williams, Mosley ect come into fights weighing as much as middleweights.

Mayweather is firmly at 147, he has conditioned his body so that this is his walk around weight. So I would say he is a natural welter. But does that make a difference in a day in age where jumping weight classes is only a days fasting away? I dont know.

    yes it does.

It means he's the smaller man fighting in a big weight class. The he only fights smaller guys is stupid. He is the smaller guy. Marquez and Floyd near equal in size and weight.

Marquez when fighting at 135 rehydrated to 141 against Juan Diaz.

So is it unfair if Mayweather is 5 pounds heavier then Marquez on fight night???

    it'll be more like 8 or 9.

I'm not saying its unfair, thats the terms they agreed to, but it definately makes a difference.

The only reason Floyd can be considered a welterweight is hat he trained to be so. His body is NOT naturally that big, he had to train his ass off to get it that way.

Granted yes, it is fairly easy for him to walk around at 147 now because he has conditioned himself so well that he can be just about any weight he wants to. Should he be critiqued for that? Should he be required to fight(and beat) bigger guys like he has entire career?

Nope. He should be able to choose whatever the **** weight class he pleases.

Marquez fought as high as 135 back in 1996, lets say he weighs in at 144 and stays there. Floyd weighs 144 comes in 150... you still feel the same???

So in essence he was at least 140 prior to dehydrating to make 135 right?
