He was popular but not necessarily in a positive way

Naz was hugely popular considering the way he conducted himself. If Naz and Eubank could retain armies of support despite their conduct then i think the racist/popularity thing gets destroyed. Colour doesn't have any real impact on a British fighters popularity. Calzaghe would have been bigger if he was English to be fair though.

**** that, the kid is 22 years old and an olympic champion. He's lost once in his career so far, nobody forces the general public to buy PPV, its there ****in choice. How can you say he's let anyone but himself down.
I suspect your gonna retort with some bull**** about him being hyped up, so before you do i'll tell you that the hype around him is a product of the media.
My views on why they boo him, besides being idiots. They felt let down, but not by khan, but by themselves as to why they let themselves believe everything they read in the paper. They believed the hype, followed the hype and then when it all came crashing down they felt like idiots. Also, I hate to say it, but for a minority of those fans their is an underlying current of racism attached to it.
I do conceed that some real boxing fans do have a dislike towards Khan because of his major frailty i.e his chin, and therefore are not going to support someone who will ultimately come unstuck again (discounting Prescott). But I wont conceed that those same real fans would boo any fighter of any description who steps between the ropes, and certainly not one which shares their nationality.

    End of rant:D

Why did the Brits boo Khan then???????

Also, Pacman got booed, but only because hes Hattons opponent and you cant really cheer him!

In any other situation, the brits respect Pacman and would cheer him.
