It's easy to discredit the WBU and IBO(which is not too bad nowadays) sitting behind your computer screens...... but they are still belts that boxers have to earn and work hard for if they want to take pride in that then fine. I can assure you winning the IBO belt is alot more than anyone on this forum has achived in their lifetime

Honestly are you ****ing serious? Let me break it down to you. The WBU were/are an organisation ran from a cottage in Norwich. ANYONE can set up a sanctioning body and let someone fight for their belt irrespective of merit. Do you know who their inaugural champ was at heavyweight? A 40 plus year old Trevor Berbick.The WBU has ZERO credibility on the world scene. For Hatton to have defended it 15 times on SKY under the auspices of "World Tidal" boxing was a ****ing disgrace and an insult to boxing fans. I take pride in the belt that holds up my trousers. If anyone wants to fight me for it please step forward. But know this it has far more value than that piece of **** the WBU are peddaling. Only an idiot would cowtail to that belt and only an idiot would defend it.

 

Don't get me wrong I don't give it any sort of credibilty maybe more for the IBO..... but it serves a purpose and if you want to get into rankings and unfit champs then all the belts could be scrutinised.

But my point is, it's easy for behind your PC to discredit and rubbish the belt when your not a boxer...... a large majority of boxers don't get anywhere near even winning the IBO standard and would love to wear that belt.... so you to rubbish that belt is pretty disrespectful to boxers

 

I dont need to be a boxer to have an opinion or call bull**** when i see it. If i had to watch Man U vs Acrington Stanley in the finals of the FA year in year out id call bull****. Hatton facing some Polish roadsweeper for the WBU is the same thing.
