The sport of boxing isn't particularly suited to 'media types'. Thats why the 'media types' who cover the sport of boxing often get it very wrong.
Some of you guys are a bunch of wingy women........ they have to sell the fight somehow for the average man on the street (casual boxing fan) . This fight isn't for any recongnised belt so there has to be some angle to sell the fight.... and the P4P no1 is the angle If you don't like it.....who cares just ignore it !!!!
no way as a boxing fan you have to respsect the fighters like marquez vasquez hopkins mosley who have done more and deserve to be higher than hatton regardless of the result tonight
Why ??? If Hatton wins this fight if would be his 3rd top 10 p4p scalp (Tyszu,JLC,Manny) he is a 4 time world champ at 2 weight classes and has held his ring belt for 4 years what more does he need to do ??
What the media should be saying is: Hatton - 2 weight world champion Pac - 5 weight world champion (starting at flyweight!) I know pac didnt technically win a title at feather but he must hav been the ring champ after spanking Barrera.
where was castillo when he fought hatton we all know castillo was shot when he fought and no one can deny that, he gave up against hatton , he was breathing properly after the body shot and electe to stay down so i really couldnt see him being in the top 10 although i cannot remember where exactly he was the first corrales fight finished castillo and all the making weight
BremnerBomber - Sorry pal i'm not picking you up here I'm really not but was JLC really in top 10 P4P when Hatton beat him ? I can't have that
i must of switched off when watching it, i do that a lot when listening to sky commentators, nelson did however say that pac would win
Hatton is the Ring Magzazine champ at 140 and this fight is for the championship of the world. This is a world title fight. Not a P4P No.1 title fight. atsch This fight should have ben sold as Hatton defending his championship against the No.1 P4P fighter in the world, and nothing more. Instead they've sold it as Hatton challenging Pacquiao for the No.1 P4P title. atsch
