Thompson was a tall awkward Southpaw that has a Chin Haye could only dream of. Thompson proved his Chin in that fight. You can't take anything from that fight Thompson is nothing like Haye at all. I doubt Mr Haye will last half as long as Thompson did.
Wlad make them look like punching bags. But Thomspon makes a very good fight. Wlad vs. Thompson would sell out every arena in germany, not doubt of it (20.000 people no problem). Haye will look like a punching bag before The Champion will finish him. This content is protected
Thompson is exactly the level of fighter that Holmes struggeld with on several occasions. Yet some people take the fact that Thompson was competitive against Wlad as evidence that Holmes would blow them both away. Overrating past heroes seems aboslutely unique in boxing, no other sport gives so little credit to it's current champions. Thompson can take a good HW punch, Haye probably cannot. If Haye's speed that looks impressive against guys of his own height works against Wlad, he has a chance. If he has to take punches to deliver his own, he is doomed. Wlad can get up from knockdowns from hard punchers, he might not have the best chin, but he doesn't stay down just from one hard punch. I doubt Haye can get up from a flush hook or straight right from Wlad.
