I gotta $500 bet right now with a friend of mines that Floyd Mayweather will lose if he fights all the top welters. In that list, it includes Migel Cotto, Manny Pacquao, and Shane Mosley. I didn't include Paul Williams cause he's really not a welterweight anymore and probably won't fight there again. No way Floyd is gonna beat all the top 3 names mentioned above. If he did do it, not only would I lose $500 but I'd openly say he's the greatest fighter to ever put on a pair of gloves.

He'd beat them all. Mosely too old. Pacquiao too small, Cotto not good enough. I agree that I doubt it would happen but if it does your money is not safe at all mate IMO

How would beating those three men make him greater than say, Sugar Ray Leonard or Roberto Duran? Talk sense. Cotto lost to Margo, Mosley is 37 and Pac's natural weight class is miles below 147.

If Floyd beat those three he would be a top 30 ATG and a legend, and the best fighter of the 21st century. Best ever? Come on now, simmer down.

    Yeah...

Yo money ain't safe if he were to fight these guys.

He would outpoint Shane, brutalize Pac, and school Cotto. The Cotto fight would probably be his toughest, but he got too much speed, defense, accuracy, and footwork for him.

The current Welter's haven't done anything great for Floyd to jump so high in ATG rankings if he beat them. Espcially cotto, what has he done great?

Mosley would be easily the toughest fight for Floyd (other than Williams). Shane's strength, power and handspeed would give Floyd a very tough assignment.

Then you don't what the hell your talking about then . for one Manny is not a welter and would get his ass spanked .. the only reason floyd is picking to fight pac anyway is because of the money .. Mosley let to much water go under the bridge, he had quite a few chance to fight floyd when he still had his speed. At 135 I think mosley would have killed floyd but he turned the fight down, and when he still had decent speed two year ago he turned down the fight when it could have been completive. Now mosley is step behind and is open to straight right , I predict a point beating when he and Floyd meet maybe later in this year.

Cotto never wanted any part of Floyd , even when he was 135 and cotto was 140. cotto and his camp wanted nothing to do with floyd . I do give him a chance now but I still thinks he get whooped , we will see what happen after he leaves Arum .

Mosley is still on top of his game, Cotto beat Shane Mosley so he's probably the best of the bunch(the Margarito fight is questionable, so we can't take that fight seriously until we see how the rest of Cotto's career goes) and Pac already proved he could fight at the welterweight limit when he beat Oscar plus he would beat the fastest guy Floyd fought so that in itself would make the win very impressive. And you could make a case he's the greatest if that scenerio took place cause he could say he beat every great fighter of his era, plus you'd also be able to say he never loss, which a lot of the greats from the past can't say.

I think his age would be a factor by the time he reached a fight with Floyd. Shane has problems with even decent boxers, like Cotto. You know I usually don't give Cotto credit for nothin, but I think he would be a decent, tough matchup for Floyd, although Floyd holds all advantages except punching power.

I'm not even including PW, because Floyd gets starched in Rd 8 against Petey.:fire

Shane paws with the jab, yeah his hands are fast but that wont be a factor because he isnt faster than Floyd. Shane is to easy to hit nowadays also. Floyd would outbox shane something serious, Floyd UD9-3.

Cotto was still unproven at 140 when Floyd wanted to fight him, but showed no interest in fighting Cotto after he beat Mosley. It doesn't matter though, Floyd ain't gonna beat all 3 of them.

Mayweather will beat them all. He's too naturally gifted for these guys. I for one am glad he's back because he will not clear up all this P4P debate ****! Mayweather is the best P4P, plain & simple!

The only guy at or near his weight class who could give Floyd big problems is Paul Williams. I'm not even sure Williams could make 147lbs if required?

Not only is the talent & skill level a big factor in favour of Floyd, he hasn;t been in any gruelling fights like Hatton, Pacquiao, Mosley have. Floyd is well rested & stays in shape. He does not abuse his body!

I think he will settle back in pretty comfortably tbh.
