He picks career featherweight Juan Manuel Marquez, who gets pushed back by Juan Diaz and small even for a LW, AND Floyd is running his mouth in this comeback press conference that 'a small man will never retire me'?

We know Floyd, Juan Manuel Marquez is small for a welterweight, that's exactly why you picked him! BTW, you retired after your last fight vs. small man, so it sounds even more absurd.

The last time a lightweight fighter went up to fight a PRIME welterweight, he got BADLY beat up. His name was Diego Corrales, and the opponent was Joshua Clottey. Notice how Corrales, the taller, faster, busier and more skilled fighter is being overwhelmed by the 2 divisions stronger fighter. We have divisions for a reason, and that's fighters' protection from unnecessary disadvantages.

    I agree.
He will probably fight Darchinyan and Calderon after and his obsessed nuthuggers will say it's ok.

Yes I was pissed when I read it. He clearly told on himself that he's taking the easy way out. Since he's been off I can forgive him.....but he'd better not fight some guy like Corey Spinks after.

The build-up will be absolutely surreal.

"I picked JMM because blah blah p4p blah blah called me out blah blah"

    ...

"I'll never let a small boy beat me, he's just too damn small and will know how a REAL WW fights" :patsch

Its not ok for floyd to fight a guy who he'll outweigh by 5-8 pds, but it is ok for him to fight WW's who would out weigh him by 10-12 pds? Cant have it both ways.

But he also fought everyone there was to fight in his division unlike Floyd who chose to retire when he could no longer justify why he wasnt fighting the top welters.

Hopkins: MW, LHW champ. Resume: Jones, MW to HW champ, Glen Johnson: MW to CW, LHW champ. Tito: WW to LHW, MW champ, DLH: SFW to MW champ. Taylor: top MW contender, MW champ, top SMW contender. Winky: LMW champ, should've been awarded the MW title. Tarver: LHW champ. Calzaghe: SMW, LHW champ. Pavlik: MW champ, beat Taylor at SMW. There are only 2 guys who once were WWs, and both were MW champions when Hopkins fought them. In fact, he becaume undisputed when he beat Tito, and the all-4-title-holder when he beat Oscar. They were the champs to beat. Beating Berto (WBC), Mosley (WBA), Cotto (WBO) and Clottey (IBF) would be the same for Mayweather.

    Now what?

It's OK for Floyd to continue fighting smaller guys if he has no problem being called a cherrypicker.

Fighting the best welters(even though they might outweigh him by "10-12 pds" would be a bigger challenge, which is something FLoyd constantly refuses to do and his nutfans refuse to accept.

You can't have it both ways:deal
