OK, all bias aside. You guys know that Floyd is about money. He feels that Manny should win against Hatton. OK. He is only doing the same thing that Manny is doing. Floyd's last 2 fights were against ODH and Hatton. Pac-man's last 2 fights ODH and Hatton. So what does a smart business man do? Fight the guy that gave Manny the most trouble. Floyd already beat Hatton so there is nothing to prove there. He is trying to set himself up against Pacquio. That's why he's fighting at a lower weight after a 16 month layoff. With the absence of ODH, Pacquio is the biggest money fight out there to be made for Floyd. If you all have been paying attention, this is all Pac-man's promoter's doing.

Hopkins and Jones, sure, they jumped up to fight a champ. not Shane. His first fight @ 147 was against Wilfredo Rivera.

It isn't a bad fight. If it was a bad fight, I'm certain the outcry would've scared him off like a rematch with ODLH did.

    My point is this:

You have the P4P #1 unretiring to come back and fight again. Awesome. He's in a division where there are 3 guys who could all make Top 10 P4P claims (Cotto, Mosley, Williams). Awesome. The division is currently in upraor because of all the confusion at the top. You think "Awesome the P4P great is coming back to clean things up and take the fights we thought we'd see back in 2007!"

Instead this fight seems to be a complete diversion from that.

True. But thats a list of great fighters.

Marquez is just following his Golden Boy buddy idea (Hopkins)

He offered Mosley a fight but he wanted 20m Guaranteed (which I think could of been done) but it was turned down.

I'd need a link for that one. Only because I've read that Mosley was told by Floyd personally that Floyd preferred a tune up fight or two before they hooked up.
