Jacobs landed 29 punches in the last minute of the 1st round. Walker lunging in and trying hard against Jacobs. Jacobs goes downstairs and then comes back upstairs. Jacobs quick hook and then resets his base. Mike Walker trying to lean his head in but JAcobs' ears prevent it. Flush right lands on Jacobs but he hanles it well. Another flush right but Jacobs is moving better now. Jabs from Jacobs and Walker's face resets. Jacobs is 22 compared to 26 (Korobov and Lara). Something tells me Last Call Larry is ready for tonight. Danny has sort of taken this round off but he's still in clear control. Thudding punch makes Walker think for a second. Walker has NO head movement and is as ucker for every jab possible. Walker butts Jacobs as the round ends.

Brilliant from walker, putting the pressure o tis third round, now great work from jacos, he'l learn a helluva lot in this fight.

 

Walker came to fight, but Jacobs looks too big too strong, and too good. Jacobs is 22 and already probably outgrowing 160. Probably end up at 168, eventually 175. Definitely has the frame and power for those weights.

 

Manny Pac and his entourage of about 9000 people entering the arena. Manny always has this wide eyed lil kid look about it. Like a beanie baby of some sort.

Midnight Stalker is trying to rough house Jacobs. Lots of holding and brawling from Walker. Walker is trying to muscle Jacobs around. Walker on the ropes and Jacobs is measuring him. Uppercut hurts Walker and he goes in to hold on. Walker against the ropes and getting popped. Larry Merchant says "Michael Walker is a hard hard man." Michael Walker is giving Jacobs a new style and that's good for him. Jacobs is landing quick and accurate punches and Walker is weathering it.
