Manny Pacquiao's ATG ranking?

People rate him above Mayweather even though when they bump heads they know Mayweather will most likely beat him?.. I don't understand.

Inside top 20!!! With the chance to become ATG#1 if beat PBF and SSM.......Difficult but possible!!!

 

if he beats either PBF or cotto or mosley, he is already better than sweet pea...that's legit top 15

 

i realized that 140 is not deep at the moment...still many potential that have not yet realized...they just eliminated each other

 

I think inside 28-35. Inside top 25 is overrating. Ranking doesn't work that way.

Beating Hatton who is like rank 500 ATG doesn't make a fighter boost from Top 50-70 all the way to Top 20 - 25. Besides, c'mon guys , give room when he beats Mayweather, which is the real test to legitimize his Top 20-25.

 

it's not just hatton...but beating the best 140 pounder right now and winning his 6th title in 6 divisions...accomplishment that is hard to duplicate and top 25 worthy...he just surpass hopkins, holyfield and jones who are legit top 30

 

I don't think he is better than Sweet Pea yet. Whitaker has a pretty damn good resmue, barely lost rounds against ATG competation let alone fights. Let's be honest Pea didn't really lose until DLH (an ATG at his peak) and that fight could have gone either way. Plus Pernell matches up better in head 2 head matchups.

 

sweet pea i legit top 15...manny, as of now is top 25...but if he wins his 7th division by beating ssm, cotto of pbf...it would put him higher than sweet pea

 

Top 20. People forget how hard it is to move around weights because of how easy Pac makes it look. Whenever a fighter moves up and looses, the first thing they blame is weight. Pac has moved 3 weights in 14 months and won them all in devastating fashions. He destroys HOF/ATG fighters and if the only man I believe to ever hold The Ring/Lineal title in 4 different weight divisions. Meaning he beat the perceived undisputed champ in 4 different weight classes, from Fly to JWW...that is un****inbelievable. Thats like RJJ going up to HW and beating Lennox Lewis when he was undisputed!!! And oh, he's a 6 weight division champ in the eyes of those who know boxing.

Compared to past ATG's, he's right up there with them.

I would now rank him above RJJ and above Floyd. When Floyd beats JMM, If he does then he may have an argument for going even terms but the decider is when both get it on. Whoever wins that is locked top 10 and surpasses the likes of Whitaker & SRL in recent times.
