I personally think not, getting destroyed in that fashion will mentally finish him and he seems to have a fairly sensible head on him outside of the ring and a good family who will advise him to retire. Hope you retire now Ricky, a great ambassador for British boxing and it's been a hell of a ride.

I know Mayweather Sr, Roach and Bunce have all said he should now call it a day, any other boxing figures said this?

    Probably.

he will get a couple of wins against some scrubs and then he will fight JMM for the pound for pound title.

yes one last hurrah at the M.E.N areana in manchester against amir khan
it would make alot of money in england

i know it is a risky fight and he might lose against khan aswel but he must come into camp in good shape like he did this time round

    I hope not.
He`s gone out on his shield, losing twice against the elite of the sport of boxing.

Nothing else to prove, and no other real fights out there anyway for him.

Just glad that the fight was over so quick, otherwise Hatton really could have been finished off.

It'll hurt him to retire on a loss, but he has nothing to prove and should leave while he's healthy.I hope we don't see him in the ring again. We're proud of you Ricky,go enjoy your family and spend your money. :good

He's a greedy little ****er. No-way in hell he turns down a couple of £mil to fight a nobody in Manchester in a 'farewell' bout(s).

I think he will fight a couple more times in England then call it a carrer. Possibly against Tim Bradley or Nate Campbell.

He won't ever beat Pacquiao or Mayweather. He would get KO'd by most elite welterweights so moving up to 147 isn't an option. His only hope is Pacquiao moving up or retiring.

No fights out there for him?

Bradley WBO, WBC champion. (A title that has eluded him so far)
    Khan (possible WBA champion)
    Witter Possible WBC champion.

He could make huge money on a comeback if he fought these three in the UK.

I dont think he will, you've got guys who went out on wins who came back only to ruin the great career they once had. I think its even worse for fighters who "retire" on loses because they will always be ashamed of how they went out and they have to much pride to go out on a defeat, especially if its a defeat like Hatton suffered last night.

I think there are few people who he could beat if he stuck around because hes just lost to p4p fighters and there's no shame in that. Its wierd because hes to small to be a genuine welterweight and popularity wise there is nobody in the light welter division that people look out for exept hatton.

Witter: Nobody wants to watch that guy, If hatton fought him before he lost to Bradley then yea, i think it would generate some buzz but even still, i dont many people would care for that fight.

Khan: Dont think Khans ready, i think this would be a good match up when its time but knowing khans manager, they would wait till Hatton is old and punch drunk.

Bradley: Good match up but even still, if Hatton were to win, not many people would care.

As I said, i think hatton could do well in his division but i think if any p4p fighters come up in that weight class, he will fall short.
