i have a question for guys now is hatton HOF based on his resume? if you take away the amount of fans he attracts because 'hes one of the lads' persona and analyze his record is it HOF stuff?
He's borderline. I'm not sure. If he was inducted I don't think he'd be a WTF?! type inductee but by the same token he's no certainty.
I actually agree with you guys. He's sort of borderline. List his great wins. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm. The Floyd thing exposed a lot of his weaknesses but I always argued that it was at the wrong weight. He's not quite as bullish at 140 as I always made him out to be.
c´mon mate comparing Hatton with Duran is like comparing Valuev with Ali. Duran´s career at lightweight alone made him a sure inductee the rest was just a bonus.
Quite frankly, when you have Terry Norris and Dwight Muhammad Qawi inducted, I think you already know the answer.
Borderline I'd say too. Can't take away beating a slightly over the hill P4P#3 Tszyu, P4P-er Castillo, other reigning champs like Collazo (WW), Malignaggi (IBF), Urango (IBF), Maussa (WBA), losing only to P4P Kings. Dominating 140 champ from Tszyu to Pacquiao, 2-division champion, the most popular fighter in the world, extra cool personality, a P4P-er for years, I mean c'mon, he'll be remembered as a warrior who won some vs. the very best and lost some vs. the absolute elite. He should get in.
It is questionable. I was gonna make a thread of this actually but didn't wanna add more **** to what's already a **** night for Hatton fans.
similar to hamed...he may not make it in his first year of eligibility but he would be there... HOF also considers mainstream appeal and if pac-hatton sold more than 1,000,000 ppv buys, then he is locked...
