One of the greatest K.O's of all time IMO. When you consider the two fighters involved an the person who was K.O'd (a top-level fighter who had never lost at the weight and, although somewhat faded lately, was known for his ability to wade through unbelievable pressure and still find a way inside) I would say yes, an amazing K.O. It wasn't a very nice K.O to watch my any means, as Hatton is a very likeable chap, and to see him sparked in such one-sided fashion was shocking. Just goes to show how fantastic Pacman is, I'm now truly convinced of his punching power. If he were to go on and fight the winner of Marquez-Floyd and beat that person convincingly (Floyd will stop Marquez and who knows, you cannot count out Pac it seems) then he would surely break into the top 20 P4P fighters of all time. His resume would be deeeeeeep.
The more I watch it the more I think: 'What the **** is Hatton doing?' Holding his right hand at chest level, flicking out a **** poor jab, chin out to dry against a southpaw. He really did give Pac's power no respect. At least against Floyd he didn't lunge in all desperate until the 10th, he was doing that from the off last night. He is a better fighter than the performance last night, now he is done. There are no excuses though, pac was too fast, too good and, most suprising of all, too strong. I have never known a fighter be able to take his power up that many weight divisions, it's freaky.
Manny is a pocket Thomas Hearns! Now if they can get a fight with Floyd...damn, that would be fight of the decade.
Its just hard for me to watch this again.Man im a big fan of both fighters but this punch was devastating
See? Hatton was ALWAYS a joke. Now that we see him actually fight a true warrior like Pacman, that paper champ can go and retire. Mayweather is next, and I hope he gets his cocky ass knocked out as well.
definately KO of the year, he just fell straigh on his back, and people said pacman wouldn't hurt ricky!!
Will be surprised if anyone comes close to beating that this year. This is also, in my opinion, one of the greatest KOs ever. One of those KOs people will always remember and watch, like Duran/Hearns.
